You have to kill yourself to move on. It will involve moving the checkpoint across obstacles, and then respawning on the other side. I already have some decent ideas for it and construction has begun. This has probably been done before, and better, I would like to see the levels though, for inspiration? If anyone can help me on that that would be awesome. So it's going to be mostly a puzzle level, and I wanna do it because I really haven't forced myself to make good puzzles yet. Ideas? Approval? Disapproval? Ideas for an appropriate setting would be good, what i have now is yellow sponge, dark matter, dissolve material and basic cardboard. Also, in case anyone happens to care, I'm not super flighty. Outdoorsy-type Gentleman and the Really Really Bad Day is definitely coming along. I just wanted to try something new for a bit. | 2010-05-12 21:21:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
Hmm, if you're looking for inspiration I know Vandz and Heckboy88 have both made levels like this. Its been done before, but I'm sure you could come up with a new twist on it. Maybe like paintanator activating checkpoints or something? | 2010-05-15 02:24:00 Author: thekevinexpress Posts: 256 |
"Save, Die, Reload" is the classic example of this mechanic. I don't remember the PSN name offhand though. | 2010-05-15 04:30:00 Author: Burnvictim42 Posts: 3322 |

No, but you're going to have to do one hell of a job at this because people have done it pretty well. | 2010-05-16 18:29:00 Author: KablooieKablam Posts: 364 |
