Brawlers?

Archive: 8 posts

Like Final Fight or Double Dragon... or even one of those with swords. Like a sidescroller with swords... Zelda 2?

Anyway, would probably be possible. Definitively would be, actually. Just use a direct control seat to pilot some other machine guy, and use the controls to make him punch or stuff... Like Double Dragon...

... Yeah, possibilities are endless. Anyone... think they'll make a Double Dragon or Ninja Gaiden Brawler type thing? IT'S POSSIBLE I BETZ

Yes, Final Fight LBP would be incredible.
You could play co-op too, just like in the Arcade!
And you could put a classic arcade border around the screen!
And Sackbot NPCs!

OH MY GOD YESSS

Could make a good LBPC:TG minigame. Players play as various forum people and duke it out. 2010-05-12 00:08:00

I've been wondering about this kind of thing too. They mention that they showcased a hud with a healthbar for a fighting game, and they mentioned that we can record animations for sackbots, but they didn't go into specifics. Can we use a dcs to assign a punch button that makes sackbot throw a punch that does damage to another bot's lifebar? It would seem the answer is yes, but we haven't got any specifics yet. I'm still dying to know whether we'll be able to attach objects to sackbots. A sackbot with a mini-gun mounted on his shoulder and tank treads where his legs should be? A sackbot with a lightsaber attached to his hand that he can swing around?2010-05-12 00:30:00

This is an awesome idea! I LOVE the sound of this option aleady! I would deffineatly like even more customiziation for the sackboys, although, we can already scale the different body parts.

Yeah, I'm sure we all want to wait about 6-ish (maybe more) months for LBPC:TG to come out just for some Sackbots.... Maybe LBPC:TG 2.

Anyway, I was actually thinking this, like a Super Smash Bros fight thing...

Heh, I briefly contemplated doing Double Dragon in LBP1 a few months ago. As punches you'd grab the enemy, and I also built a crate that makes itself lighter when grabbed, so you can lift and throw it at the bad guys. I wasn't motivated enough to follow through, though, I have too many ideas lying around already. So why wait, go do it, now! 2010-05-12 17:21:00

Would anyone like the idea of sackboy/sackbots being able to carry things (that are not too big!) over his head? You could use the grab button, hold in down, and use the right analog stick to lift it around with your arms.

BIgger sackbots= bigger objects carriable.

FOr example, a normal sackboy, could carry only up to around three squares up in material.
There wou;ld aslo be another added dimention to co operative levels, such as using two players/one sackboy with a sackbot To lift bigger and heavier objects.
The more sackboys, the more wieght and the bigger the objects they can carry!
HAs anyone ever thought of this before?
