I think I just found the "level-linking" badge.

After the little arrow, it looks like a badge of some sort, could this be the level-lining badge?

EDIT:Or it might be a jump-pad, I just saw the up arrow over it.

I for what i've seen believe the link badge you put on the level icon to connect the levels, you make the players transport via some green tubes like the ones they use to transport players/ sackbots ingame already.

Not sure, but that's what i can say for what i've seen in the videos/ previews/ magazine articles.

Any chance that these level linking badges will be able to transport players to specific sections of levels?

I'm trying to make it as easy to understand as possible, and my best bet is with Banjo-Tooie references: The oil rig on the icy side of Hailfire Peaks leads to...I think a Jinjo on Grunty Industries. Kind of like that. Like the seamless linking that I'm hoping for won't just launch you to the beginning of the next level, but may allow you to send a player to a certain part within that other level.

This would be awesome for a level series as you could get small little previews of future levels, but maybe not go everywhere within the future level.

That wouldn't work though if they're in two separate levels, would it? I mean like:

50% through Level 1 there's a secret path that leads to a section that is closed off normally on Level 2 (aka, only accessible from this secret path on level 1).

Not if the thermo is full, or your out of room in the level for adding things.

Well, they do show also multyple tubes (not the in-level transportation ones afais) that are in different locations, so my guess (and again, just going bywhat i've seen) is yes you'd be able to place them in any area of the level (since the level coul start and end anywhere, this would seem like a fitting idea as well, yes?

I'm guessing the level badges will be the same badges that are on the community planet, just with a portal above/below them to jump into. Would make sense2010-05-13 12:24:00

I know it is probably not right because they are probably just little tutorial complete ribbons like sources suggested but I think the red ribbons might be level linking because think about it, they could possibly be in the Da Vinci levels to transport you to a tutorial.2010-05-13 14:03:00

Well we all know how the LBP1 tutorials worked... You just faded out and faded back in!

So I guess that would be pretty much what happens with LBP2.
