Ok, this might be a bit early, but has there been any info on beta codes? as in who would be eligible and if and when they are to be released?

No, nothing has been said about the beta yet. Although, I really really really badly want in on it! Even more so than the water beta. In fact, every time I see the word beta, I rush to it as fast as possible. This thread disappointed me. EDIT: In fact, I can see a lot of people being excited when they see this thread, seeing as it's in New and Media, people will think they're giving them out already....

hmm...if there is one, it most likely isn't going to be for a while. check media molecule's homepage and littlebigplanet.com regularly for an announcement.

Sam has posted this over on LBW about a BETA for LBP2: http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/t5/General-Discussion/a-BETA/m-p/250163/highlight/true#M135174 There won't be much discussion of whether LittleBigPlanet 2 will be publicly beta tested for a while yet as that time is still a way off. Once there is more news we'll update you accordingly.So if there is ever going to be one, it's not going to be for a fair while yet.

Well, a lot of the recent "betas" for ps3 have really been for demoing the game and creating hype. At least that is what I've seen and concluded. If they have a closed beta then that is different.

I hope that the beta (if there is one) will allow anyone with LBP1 to play it. Kind of like the Halo Reach Beta. It ensures that people who have played LBP1 will know what bugs to look for or any new ones they can come across.

I'd like to be in the beta again. It was a fun ride, creating sucky levels within a day and having them get 4 stars. Gotta love the magic of farting trees.

My wrath shall fall upon thee untill your alter-ego sackbuy jumps out of the game and begs me for mercy... Now that that's over with... I wish i was selected to be in one of these BETAS at least once, as a game breaker(a.k.a. "Glitcher") i believe that to be a conveninet reason to have someone in a BETA as it is for finsing bugs and glitches, no? Well, but whatever, I guess i'll never get to it seems that making "good levels" is a far better way to find bugs for some reason,at least that's what i've seen...

Uhh, I'm pretty sure no one watches LittleBigPodcast, if no one has mentioned this before, but. On the special episode of LittleBigPodcast on Monday, they said (And I know it can be false) to be on the look out for a Beta in the next MONTH or so. Unconfirmed news, but, LittleBigPodcast does a have a relation with Sony and Media Molecule.

To be honest, I think Mm are going to need a Beta with all of these new features, unless they want to release a potentially really broken game. I think it's highly likely that we'll see A LOT of problems with the web portal thing, and I think they should definitely test it before they release a full game. Then again, I just want to get my hands on the game. In all seriousness, I think it'd be ridiculous to NOT have a Beta I agree with everyone else, too. Could we rename this thread? You got my hopes up and crushed them. I feel like the robot orphan from Futurama.
