Another Song Confirmation? - Also Sprach Zarathustra Remix by Deodato
Archive: 44 posts
In this scan (http://www.lbpmedia.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/page-4-Copy.jpg) of the new edition of EDGE featuring LBP2 (Kudos to Samalot) the editors mention a new mini-game, described as being oriented around the grapple hook and named "The Tower of Woop". But also, they mentioned the piece of music which was playing during their run-through of the level. It may not be final, hence the question mark (Tapha Niang, anyone?), but it may surely well be. For your listening pleasure, I present Also Sprach Zarathustra by Deodato, a very groovy spin on the classic piece. I for one enjoy this piece very much and would be delighted if it made it into the final game. | 2010-05-11 21:36:00 Author: Astrosimi ![]() Posts: 2046 |
I only listened to a few parts here and there of that, and from what I heard, I can't see it fitting in with LBP. Maybe I only heard the worst parts? I dunno, but I really can't imagine what levels that would fit with.... ![]() | 2010-05-11 21:45:00 Author: Doopz ![]() Posts: 5592 |
Could be a good fit for puzzle levels/sections I think. | 2010-05-11 21:45:00 Author: mnimmo1986 ![]() Posts: 552 |
It sounds very sci-fi, which fits the theme of the game. If you read the story, it's very space and science fiction oriented, so it fits to me... | 2010-05-11 21:52:00 Author: comphermc ![]() Posts: 5338 |
This sounds perfect for LBP2, features the same mix of genres that the game itself has, IMHO. Sounds sci-fi while not sci-fi at the same time. I'm sure that there's a better way to express it, obviusly. I can perfectly see this song being put in. Besides, the good thing about it it's that it's long, which is something that all of us creators like, I bet. I mean, if you need to have a song loop several times during a level, let it be only a few times! | 2010-05-12 00:09:00 Author: Keldur ![]() Posts: 628 |
Haha - sounds exactly like something you'd find in Neon Propaganda. ![]() | 2010-05-12 00:31:00 Author: Richasackboy ![]() Posts: 619 |
Now this is going to be awesome. Both this and A Fifth of Beethoven (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGQVETVVGf0) are confirmed for LBP2. Epic remixes of well-known masterpieces! | 2010-05-12 00:34:00 Author: Sack-Jake ![]() Posts: 1153 |
This one kinda reminds me of the Temples song in LBP. ![]() | 2010-05-12 00:40:00 Author: Silverleon ![]() Posts: 6707 |

Excellent! I think this would fit. I hope it makes the game. But if there's something I trust Media Molecule about it is gathering some awesome soundtrack. (although I will totally miss Daniel Pemberton). | 2010-05-12 03:21:00 Author: RangerZero ![]() Posts: 3901 |
I'm not liking these songs, I'm more in favor of songs like Infontain. | 2010-05-12 03:23:00 Author: warlord_evil ![]() Posts: 4193 |
That's awesome! I really hope it makes it in. Some parts in this remind me of The Doors! | 2010-05-12 14:08:00 Author: Rhys125 ![]() Posts: 841 |

Yeah, what leather monkey said, whats your source? although, it does sound like something out of neon propeganda, or maybe even Fluffy high tech! | 2010-05-12 21:37:00 Author: grayspence ![]() Posts: 1990 |
Daniel wont be back? ![]() Sounds good music. Im sure it's hard work but itd be cool if most of them were interactive. But I guess theres licensing and recording issues. Anyways, as well as Ochre Infotain Me Id like to see Napolese by Ochre too. | 2010-05-12 21:57:00 Author: Snappyguy ![]() Posts: 710 |

I for one enjoy this piece very much and would be delighted if it made it into the final game. Well that took me back to the seventies! A very retro dance version of a classic, like the Star Wars theme, Fanfare for the Common Man, etc. Thanks for that, Astrosimi! Where did you here that from!?! It's in this image: http://www.co-optimus.com/images/gallery/2873xLittleBigPlanet204.jpg This song sounds absolutely fantastic! Reminds me of 2001: A Space Odyssey. ![]() http://i.neoseeker.com/mgv/272671-Blackfalcon/671/5/animal0064hb2_display.gif | 2010-05-16 13:00:00 Author: Blackfalcon ![]() Posts: 409 |
Haha, it's a great idea, sounds like a science-fiction track, but with LBP mood :hero: It's gonna be very useful. The remix of A Fifth Of Beethoven will be useful too to make disco bits in our levels. It's way more specific than Infotain Me or Sleepyhead (by the way, will this one be included in the game ?). | 2010-05-16 14:25:00 Author: Oddmania ![]() Posts: 1305 |
I can see my self using that song in LBP2 | 2010-05-16 14:41:00 Author: Alec ![]() Posts: 3871 |

LBP 2 is fully backwards compatible, so all the songs from the first one game will be in the second game. | 2010-05-20 22:22:00 Author: RagTagPwner ![]() Posts: 344 |
Wow.... i never noticed that! Well.... i guess Groovy is in...the early release alpha screenshot. Fixed that for you. ![]() I'd be just as excited to see this in the final product, but this could very well be another song merely thrown in to show off the camera tools in conjunction with the sackbot animation tools. Although the mention of this in an article is noteworthy, I wouldn't consider it an official "announced" feature per se. | 2010-05-24 22:45:00 Author: schm0 ![]() Posts: 1239 |
The Beethoven would probably be in Steam and Cake as it is around the Victorian Era hence 'Victorias Lab' | 2010-05-28 17:40:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Holy **** a fifth of beethoven is the best song of forever i never would've guessed they'd put it in ughhhhh i am most pleased by the way, it is awesome roller skating music, in case you needed some this post was supposed to be in CAPS | 2010-05-28 21:14:00 Author: monstahr ![]() Posts: 1361 |
I'm not liking any of these songs personally. I mean title song and the Beethoven remix. As long as the soundtrack is equal amounts music of this type and music for people like myself that prefer the song from the trailer and Volvo A something something type music from LBP1 (favorite song in game), lol, then it's great to me. I also like quite a few of the PSP songs. It's just that none of these 2 songs sound good to me with LBP. They just don't feel like they belong in LBP2. And before anyone thinks I'm some modern younger generation with no interest in older music, I figure I'd say that I listen to practically all music, even classics. Just my opinion. | 2010-06-03 06:39:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
I wanted to put the original verison of this song in LBP1 for ages now but still can't find the sheet music anywhere | 2010-06-06 20:03:00 Author: springs86 ![]() Posts: 785 |
For some reason the song reminds me BOTH of "The Metropolis" theme in LBP1 and space too (ofcourse). haha | 2010-06-08 03:20:00 Author: Strodigy ![]() Posts: 124 |
I wish they would just get a demo out and we would all know what some of the songs would be. | 2010-06-09 19:32:00 Author: CheesyDemon ![]() Posts: 170 |

Idea time! Since the levels are set throughout different time periods, I reckon most of the music could be remixes of old classical pieces from that time! (Someone might have already mentioned this, I haven't yet read all the posts >_< ) | 2010-06-09 20:39:00 Author: Plasmavore ![]() Posts: 1913 |
Now all that's missing from LBP2 Music is Daft Punk ![]() | 2010-06-09 21:20:00 Author: Strodigy ![]() Posts: 124 |

I think the song you're thinking of is "Volver a Comenzar", which, in Spanish, means "return to the beginning", or rather "start all over". ![]() They just don't feel like they belong in LBP2. Wha- wha- wha- whaaaat? Haha, all "what's" aside, LBP2's story mode is very time-and-space oriented, and these music tracks seem to fit very nicely with a "Sci-Fi" theme. ![]() | 2010-06-09 21:43:00 Author: Frinklebumper ![]() Posts: 941 |
Since the levels are set throughout different time periods, I reckon most of the music could be remixes of old classical pieces from that time! the song "A fifth of beethoven" is a good example that points towards this theory. | 2010-06-10 14:45:00 Author: kiwin ![]() Posts: 218 |
Hmm. Well, the song sounds kind of slow in the beginning, but it does get better near the end. We'll just have to see if it fits or not into the level! | 2010-06-11 04:44:00 Author: Mastadom ![]() Posts: 195 |
I still think that "confirmation" is a bit too strong of language for this... The screenshot is from an early alpha meant to show off the features off the sackbots in a disco setting, which explains the song. The only truly confirmed song is the one Media Molecule has spoken directly about, Sleepyhead by Passion Pit. /beingcratchety | 2010-06-11 16:03:00 Author: schm0 ![]() Posts: 1239 |

And don't forget: Infotain Me by Ochre. The man who first revealed LBP2. Or by coincidence. It's also official. I wouldn't consider tweet by the artist as officially confirmed information by Media Molecule. The LBP2 announcement was eventually confirmed, however. Well, not sure if you're talking about me, but notice I did stress that point in my first post. Yes, you did, but I still have a problem with the word "confirmed." Confirmed, to me, means that someone printed something that they saw about LBP2 and MM has officially verified it as true. It's just semantics, really. I'm just saying that there are always features and things that appear in Alphas and Betas that never see the light of day once the game is released, that's all. I'm not trying to ruin the thread, I'm trying to say that we'll be getting lots more information at E3, and in future articles, FAQs, official MM updates, etc. | 2010-06-14 17:12:00 Author: schm0 ![]() Posts: 1239 |
Well, you have a point, but I'm too lazy to change the tile anyways ![]() In any case, this song can now be heard in the background of the E3 demo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHABp2IQzRU&feature=player_embedded) and this 1Up interview (http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/30034) (Thanks to Rhys125 (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=28753-1UP-LBP2-Stage-Show-Video-Demo-at-E3)!). So, yeah, in the words of Rhys125; I think it's safe to say that it will be included in the game. But in the words of schm0... I'm just saying that there are always features and things that appear in Alphas and Betas that never see the light of day once the game is released, that's all. | 2010-06-16 19:37:00 Author: Astrosimi ![]() Posts: 2046 |
