Little Big Planet 2 in Episode 24 of Qore!

Archive: 25 posts

LBP2 is in the latest episode of Qore!
Seems like Prince of Persia has got the star billing! What a travesty!

There's also a Qore exclusive cap for use in LBP.

I just hope there is an equivalent feature for First Play...

Here's a preview of the episode:

As a side note, Spaff has just commented on this over on the LBW...

http://forums.littlebigworkshop.com/t5/General-Discussion/Qore-Exclusive-LBP-Cap-DLC/m-p/250249/highlight/true#M135248

Hey guys ! Didn't see this had been announced!

Just in case anyone is worrying, this cap will also be available to all other regions, probably also available exclusively through various different magazines etc. - you'll have to stay tuned for more info on that though!

The item in-game is called 'The LittleBigPlanet Hat' (or cap) and will be in the DLC part of the website shortly!

So thankfully, it doesn't seem limited to just the U.S.

I suppose it's not a matter of entering a code, but rather a direct link (so to speak) to the PSN store.2010-05-11 18:28:00

A Qore cap you say?
Hmmm... i suppose i could fork up some cash for this months issue... i mean, you can never have enough rare items i suppose...

It's only out in the US as far as I'm aware, which is out in today's update
Thsi made me laugh a bit... i think it's funny that UK got the week one tee and US get this Cap first.... kinda funny if you ask me... i guess they wanted to balance out the playing field

This might seem kinda of topic. But heyy! At 1:01 do you guys see MORE than the original 7 layers!? Could this mean the 3D glitch has been incorporated into the game? 2010-05-11 22:14:00

If your talking about the preview video, it had some footage from LBP1.

Uuugh... buy an episode of qore? PAY for my LBP2 fix? I don't know man. I always delete those shows as soon as I finish watching the one segment I'm interested in, or downloading the one demo or beta I want in on. What is it, 2 bucks? maybe it's worth it. But I don't care even REMOTELY for this UFC game, and Prince of Persia's kind of a meh from me. So... 2 bucks for what, a 4 minute feature?

Bah, i'll probably end up getting it anyway. It's LBP2, I'm not sure I can say no to myself.

Uuuuuugh. I caved and bought the thing. Not worth it. Definitely not worth it. MOST of the feature is a recap on LBP1 and just shows a bunch of older community levels. I'm not in the loop much so I couldn't tell you which levels make an appearance, but there's a ton. There's a bit of new footage showing LBP2 in action. It's all new footage, nothing seen yet... but nothing really in create mode, just some gameplay. It's a great way to see some detailed grapple-hook action, which looks pretty cool, and the bounce pads.

I think the only new info I got from it is that you get the story characters as skins for sackbots (and maybe even sackboy costumes). So you can make a newspaper-da vinci sackbot, and a man-in-the-can sackbot (he's made of office supplies), and a woman - maybe from steam and cake - with her head in a birdcage.

You see a pretty wide variety of sackbots, with big heads, small heads, huge arms, little arms. Tons of variety. but you don't see them being made, just after the fact.

not much at all... actually I'll say NOTHING... in the way of top-down levels, racing levels, and stuff like that. Only platformers are shown, and only really one or two stages at that. Nothing really new, again except for the story-mode characters being available as skins.

Thanks for the report, Teebonesy. At least we have one piece of info confirmed: Qore still totally sucks. 2010-05-12 06:08:00

Yeah, I downloaded it too before seeing this...Disappoint-edddd. I like the cap though, but it wasn't worth the episode downloading for an hour, then another half hour to install. Wasn't worth the 1768MB either. If I delete it will I get that memory back??2010-05-12 09:18:00

Quick question about the sackbot arm sizes, were they proportional to the body?2010-05-12 10:03:00

Just watched the LBP2 bit, the bounce pads really up the pace of vertical movement. If you want to check it out without buying qore it's very easy to find.2010-05-12 11:00:00

Found this info on the lbp workshop

Video Information:

1. Sackboy can, at will, do flips, presumably using the right stick whilst jumping.

2. The costumes can be shaped in a variety of ways including new flat costumes.

3. You can change the length and width of a sackbots pieces.

4. You can make anything follow you whether it has moving parts or not, example given is a light.

5. Older costume pieces are brought back with some unexplained new actions. (No detail given)

6. You can change different attributes of sackbots, like how shiny, texture, etc..

Extra Information:

Some new costume pieces include a new knight helmet with some glowing armor, includes a glowing sword and shield, you can use the 3D glasses as well.

You can also change sackboys shape using different items of clothing.

There is also somewhat of a birdcage helmet.

Wow... that was... umm... lame. Of course I'm not talking about LBP2 but about the episode. They showed mostly lamea$-s levels from LBP1, even a bomb survival...2010-05-12 15:38:00

It's OK for the video, because the video is in HD, and you can really see what's going on, and there's also the killer hat that comes with it. B)2010-05-12 21:04:00
