Suggestion: Sackboy with sword and shield power up

Hi, my friend said an awesome idea and i asked him if i could post about it on this forum, and he said i could. Anyway, he said that it would be awesome if sackboy could wield a sword (or an comically item) with a shield and use it to fight off enemies! This would make great hack and slash levels and LBP having the multilayer aspect would benefit it too! Imagine, you and 3 friends all fighting off a hoar of sackbot zombies, knights/soldiers, or invading a castle.

My idea on this would be if you could let the sackbots also wield swords and be apart of your army and help you fight the enemy sackbots, red vs blue style. Imagine, you sneak into the enemy castle open the castle doors and let your team of sackbots charge in and fight the enemy team in their own base.

Actually, the more i think about it, you should of be able to have a crossbow power up as well.

Also, wouldn't it be cool if you could vs a friend in some sort of castle battle? Like, your in control of the blue castle, and your friend controls the red castle, and your goal is to destroy each other.

The possibilities are endless but I reckon this sounds like fun! I do reckon that Mm could make this idea into a "medieval" DLC pack, but if they add this into the game it would be ace! Does anybody else have any ideas to add to this?

Mm gets a ton of requests for specific powerups like this, but I think the way they're going to answer them is to give people the option of creating their own powerups. All you really need is to customize a sackbot and put a direct-control device on him.

If we can attach mechanical things to sackbots - and I'm betting we can - you're almost unlimited in what you can do.

Just have the player direct-control a sackbot with a sword attachment that you build yourself (set your DC device so that "square" slashes the sword for example. A mag key tells the game when the sword comes into contact with enemies.) Similarly, a crossbow attachment with an emitter that fires arrows would be possible. And nearly anything else you can think to give a sackperson or sackbot.

I just have to mention we HAVEN'T seen anything like this yet that I know of. But I'm expecting it to be possible.

my friend said "imagine having two players vs-ing each other sending waves of sackbots at each other"

Also, imagine in the sack war battle thingy, you can send out sackboy workers to collect resources and bulid up your fort. And over time building up your technology and start sending over more advance soldiers, and some stuff like catapults.

Or imagine a "Combat evolution" level, where you start out with sticks and stones and over time advance to having, swords, crossbows, then guns, then tanks and planes, etc.

Theres already a fully kitted out knight in the game with Sword and shield.

Hopefully you can make them actual weapons. Would tie in with the RPG element rather nicely. Although personally i'd change the sword for the frying pan.

What he said, people keep requesting these spesific use items, many which can or probably will be able to be made by the user with some imagination.
