Hey, with Portal 2 coming out soon too, maybe we'll get a Portal themed DLC that doesn't kill you to portal, maybe even a portal gun, like paintinator? | 2010-05-11 16:19:00 Author: Super_Dork_42 Posts: 1874 |

Valve helping in PS3 exclusive? Impossible :o Go see interviews with Valve CEO Gabe Newell and what he got to say about PS3 True, but Portal 2 WILL be out on "PC, XBOX, Wii, and PS3", so why not have LBP DLC based on it? | 2010-05-12 09:01:00 Author: Super_Dork_42 Posts: 1874 |
T Portal 2 WILL be out on "PC, XBOX, Wii, and PS3" Last I heard they weren't doing a ps3 version. Did that change? | 2010-05-12 10:55:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
Last I heard they weren't doing a ps3 version. Did that change? Um.. Yeah. There IS a PS3 version of the Orange Box. | 2010-05-12 11:11:00 Author: KablooieKablam Posts: 364 |
Ok guys on topic I was just watching Qore ep 24 on youtube, the LBP2 segment and I'm pretty sure I saw teleportation take place. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo5wciMxOLI 3:33 seconds in ish. It's not as pretty as I'd like but you get the idea.. I'm sure we could tweak what happens in the build up to being teleported rather than instantaneous with no visual effects. I don't think thats the teleport. I just think he's been shot on the bounce pad behind a thin layer. Rearlly good video though. | 2010-05-12 15:34:00 Author: Mkwone Posts: 104 |
Darn it! I think your right. I thought the bounce pads looked like a different material or something but the angle obscures the face icons. *crys* | 2010-05-12 15:39:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |
I actually recognized a few of the community levels they showed there: in particular, Teebonesy's Titanic level. I like how he said the level designer they hired (johnee?) was doing things that they couldn't work out. | 2010-05-12 19:06:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
very nice video | 2010-05-12 21:56:00 Author: horwitzer Posts: 255 |
Um.. Yeah. There IS a PS3 version of the Orange Box. yea.... but that was only because it was ported by EA games. there was no PS3 version originally. | 2010-05-13 00:16:00 Author: Mopthefloo Posts: 139 |
Although Portal-themed portals would be great (you know, like the blue and orange ones form the game), portals in LBP would not necessarily have to come with a Portal-themed DLC pack. Alternatively, MM could include them in new Creator Pack. | 2010-05-13 19:23:00 Author: michaelplacke Posts: 39 |

And in Portal 4 glados spams cake at you. Twist ending! | 2010-05-14 10:38:00 Author: Snappyguy Posts: 710 |
Gabe Newell is nothing but a fat, lethargic man who sits in a chair and talks about how well and what his workers do with making games. Because of his Aspergers Syndrome and low self-esteem, I can really see how well an agreement will go on with MediaMolecule and Valve. | 2010-05-14 17:03:00 Author: PoD CREW Posts: 268 |

also would not happen be cause portal 2 takes place billons of years after half life 2. I thought it was hundreds-? That makes me sad though, I thought they were going to interconnect or something <=[ Ha, we're discussing Portal 2 in this thread more than we are the possibility of having portals in LBP. | 2010-05-14 21:24:00 Author: Ryuhza Posts: 355 |

Depends who do the dirty job porting it if EA again then non a chance, even is Valve they still prefer MS over Sony, chances are very low and such deal would do large noise in industry | 2010-05-15 06:26:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

"you can't spell ignorant without IGN" Haha that's brilliant!! It's funny because it's true! XD | 2010-06-17 21:40:00 Author: Weretigr Posts: 2105 |
wait, i was wrong. but I think the portal gun - if there were such a thing - should have a new design for LBP like what? Maybe you could draw a possible design and post it here? | 2010-06-19 04:58:00 Author: Super_Dork_42 Posts: 1874 |
I think if a Portal Device ever grts added to LBP2, it should look like one of those retro space ray-guns mixed with the Paintinator, but two-handed. It shouldn't be exactly the same design as the Portal Device from Portal/Portal 2, though, as people may confuse it with the grapple hook, which is similar in design. Perhaps the portals it fires should use the two colours you select in your popit? Parts of the device could change colour depending on which portal is being fired. I can see a lot of potential for a Portal Device in the game, myself. Perhaps pressing R1 could fire portals and pressing R2 would allow you to pick up objects made from certain materials. | 2010-06-19 05:20:00 Author: Unknown User |
Maybe to hint at it, you should make a Aperture Science 3D Background? | 2010-06-19 10:39:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
Sounds AWESOME. Who knows how to do that? Maybe we could get a small group together to make the littlebigcontra of portal? | 2010-06-19 15:16:00 Author: Super_Dork_42 Posts: 1874 |
