| Simply amazing. My view on LBP2 is exactly the same as it was for LBP. At first I wasn't really interested, then I started to get a little interested reading some features, and now that I've seen a trailer and imagined the possibilities I just have to have this game. | It's WOW The trailer is awesome. Afterwards reading the hands-on on Gamespot, I was also blewn away. We're also getting better profile options. The new stream spot will have you getting updated with friends and hearted creators. Then you'll have more Profile options, and you can now recommend levels for others. | What a broadening of possibilities. There's going to be such diversification of level formats and gameplay now that every level will be different ... bomb and shark survivals just won't be cool enough to hold sway with the rest of the things that people will be making! Think of all the things good that have been added - sackbots - direct control seats - level linking - blog feeds - gravity control - better graphics - cool new powerups - bounce pads - cool sucky pipes - *takes breath* - top down view - arcade formats - cutscene editor - recordable sounds - cool new materials - microchips - better cameras - PS Move integration - customisable earth - *takes another breath* - evidence of layer-changing and delethalising in create mode ... the list goes on. The thing I'm looking forward to the most is the SackBot - especially the use of him in conjuction with the direct control seat. Just think - you can assign your movements to a massive sackbot that can do everything you can but bigger ... break down walls, vastly increase puzzle possibilites - or just rampage through the city like Sackzilla. | I don't think I've been this excited for a game since ever. I've got so many ideas... Especially with those sackbots... Instead of having a town of cut-outs, you can populate it with sackpeople. You could have your own sackperson greet people in your levels. You could determine what character people play as in your level. You could make a "sidekick" that helps you along. So many possibilities. You could have sackboy walk through a city, go underground, find a giant robot mech, and use direct control to destroy everything. You could have a level based on some sort of license with Sackbots playing the characters from it. You could make a zombie level with sackboy zombies using costumes you made yourself. | The fact that my save from LBP1 will be compatible with LBP2 allays any and all fears I had about a sequel to a game I thought needed to sequel. Judging from just the trailer, I can tell that the cries of "Just patch new stuff in, don't make a sequel!" have been silenced. There's no way you could just patch in all that new stuff. Oh, and when they opened the new Pop-It and showed the giant new stickers page, I actually went "Oh, wow!" And that's just not something I do at trailers. Also, there is CLEARLY a significant improvement in the graphics department of everything we've seen so far! Regarding those "spam" creators, I can't see the same situation happening in LBP2. With the new "stream" feature and LBP.me, we'll see when our favourite creator has published a new level. They will most likely be working in LBP2 like the rest of us, and LBP2 levels are definitely not compatible with LBP1 levels. However I'd say the biggest challenge is making characters, you could use sackbots but will they allow for kicks and such? Something we can't currently do on command. The only way I see that is making a character yourself, but you would have to work around layers and whatnot plus then collisions and yeah, could be very tricky. | Yeah, I was actually impressed on how complete it looks as well. I remember the LBP style that we know and love today wasn't the same a year before the game came out. They were constantly making changes to the graphics and mechanics of the game. I think it looks very polished because their only job is to build on an already-existing game and make it better.
