Creature Pieces tutorial problem
Archive: 8 posts
Newbie here. I'm doing everything in the tutorial as it should be done (I think). After putting the wheels eyes and brain on the horse then going to tweak and tweaking the horse to follow along with the other tweaks when I leave the popit menu the horse drops down and rolls as it should but it won't follow me. Then when I jump on the brain and destroy it I fail the tutorial. I guess my main problem is that I can't get the horse to follow me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. did you set the creature brain to "follow"? | 2010-05-10 14:24:00 Author: damaz10 ![]() Posts: 771 |
Yes I set the brain to follow every time I tried the tutorial . I've tried the tutorial at least seven or eight times following all the directions. Chuck | 2010-05-10 14:33:00 Author: chuckster ![]() Posts: 8 |
This tutorial sometimes acts strangely. When you've done all the important stages (eyes, wheel, brain, set to 'follow&apos ![]() | 2010-05-11 16:41:00 Author: Nakatsu Hime ![]() Posts: 59 |
Hi. I just did exactly as you said but I can't get the darn thing to follow me. I did eyes wheels and brain set to follow and set the radius then ran away and approached it again but it won't squeak or follow me. I've tried many many times but just can't get it. The worst part is I can't just skip the tutorial and move on to the next I don't think. I guess if I can't get it I'm just stuck there. Chuck | 2010-05-11 18:19:00 Author: chuckster ![]() Posts: 8 |

I find the "Hold X to tweak immediately after attaching" feature to be a little bit flaky sometimes, such that it may look like you're tweaking the thing you've just attached, but in actuality, you aren't. Have you tried exiting your Tools Bag completely, going to the normal Popit Cursor (the tadpole), moving it over the newly-installed brain and then hitting the "Square" button to tweak it (to 'follow' mode with applicable range)? -- Nanluin | 2010-05-11 19:04:00 Author: Nanluin ![]() Posts: 98 |
Hi Nanluin. Wow! Your solution did the trick. I have to remember the hint you gave me. Now it's onward and upward until the next question arises. I hope you're around when it happens. Thanks again!!! Chuck | 2010-05-12 00:18:00 Author: chuckster ![]() Posts: 8 |
Hi Nanluin. Wow! Your solution did the trick. You'll probably find the same problem with the tutorial where you have to attach a sound object that makes a chimp noise. You have to exit out of the popit between placing and tweaking, otherwise it doesn't register as being completed. Kinda annoying, but at least you only have to do it once. ![]() | 2010-05-12 16:05:00 Author: Aya042 ![]() Posts: 2870 |
