The seat thing
Archive: 25 posts
I think it's really stupid how you just jump in the seat and you can magically control whatever it's attacted to. Oh yeah and first post im legendary! | 2010-05-10 03:16:00 Author: jonlolz Posts: 155 |
Sorry I don't think you're legendary until you help out around the forums! The seat sounds nice, as long as I don't see too much of it! | 2010-05-10 03:18:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
It's making things too easy for the noobs with premade objects. And yes I am legendary! | 2010-05-10 03:29:00 Author: jonlolz Posts: 155 |
It's making things too easy for the noobs with premade objects. And yes I am legendary! No. You're just annoying at the moment. -_- I think the "controller chair" will be pretty cool, considering that you can assign different functions to different buttons on your controller. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we barely get to see the chair-thing at all! (Considering that the complexity of assigning actions to buttons may be a bit too much for some... *snicker*) | 2010-05-10 03:36:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |
I think it's pretty interesting. I wonder how well multiple chairs would interact with eachother. It could be interesting to make something like a giant robot where each player controls a particular limb or function. Hmmmm... maybe I should patent that idea. | 2010-05-10 03:38:00 Author: Gilgamesh Posts: 2536 |

Are you implying something about me? Well, you're not giving off good vibes when you exclaim "1ST POST!!! WOOO!!!" when posting. Because 1.) it's really not that exciting, and 2.) it's annoying (to me, anyways). So just calm down a little and perhaps I'll take you more seriously. I think it's pretty interesting. also i dont see how this chair is stupid since now we can make vehicles and fighting robots with whatever controls we want I agree. This control seat will vastly expand our creating abilities. @jonlolz I don't understand how you think this will not be awesome... | 2010-05-10 04:02:00 Author: Fancy_Zombie Posts: 226 |

Well, anyways if you don't like it don't use it or just cover it up. | 2010-05-10 04:22:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Yea. Controll seat totally FTW in my oppinion. It allows for REMOTE controll... or at least thats what I got from some screenshots. so you will be able to controll the whole game from one concealed area... make for a better more immersive experience. | 2010-05-10 05:29:00 Author: poorjack Posts: 1806 |
I'm sorry what control chair are we talking about? Is there an example? Picture? Article somewhere? | 2010-05-10 08:41:00 Author: Strangepom Posts: 445 |

Why not one sackboy in each seat, and each seat controls a Transformer? Then there could be an epic battle where one Transformer dies and the other player wins. Ah, the possibilities! | 2010-05-10 14:51:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |
its really nice that its in lbp 2 because i always wanted something like this in lbp 1. should be useful for vehicles with lots of controls like flyers because then you wouldnt have to move to another area on the vehicle which would make it unbalanced | 2010-05-10 19:47:00 Author: ADS_LEGEND Posts: 140 |
As it stands my one issue with direct control and users mapping controls for actions is that there won't be a standard. SO you can go from one level to the next and one will use R2 to accelerate, another will use the direction pad, another could use X. | 2010-05-10 19:52:00 Author: Mkwone Posts: 104 |
It's making things too easy for the noobs with premade objects. How is it? You realise it's impossible to make this on your own? It basically changes the controls of all the buttons to whatever you want. So are you saying anyone who can't make that in LBP 1 is a 'noob'? Hm? I rest my case. | 2010-05-10 21:04:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
It's been in other thread, here image how seat outputs will look like in circuts http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1138/4594846556_9047526ccf.jpg All abuttons except R3 SixAxis motion detection outputs included ;] Buttons will work like normal switches L2/R2 like 2way switch on speed mode (probbably, since they output analog data from 0 to 1) Analog sticks, Motion detection, D-Pad as 3way switches on speed mode Also all PS3 pad buttons except L3/R3 Start Select are pressure sensitive, this might apply too | 2010-05-10 21:15:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

The level of epicness it will bring is unbelievable. Controllable robots, animals, vehicles, sausages, ninjas, the possibilities are endless! :3 Plus, you could throw it in a car, and it'll be ideal. It'll fix all of the driving problems and will just be amazing. Also, FLYING. | 2010-05-10 21:44:00 Author: Fish94 Posts: 554 |

The problem I have with the seat is it might be like the collectibles in the goody bag that every noob spams and mindlessly puts it on a block and it's suddenly a vehicle. I don't know much about what exactly you can tweak yet so yeah we'll see. | 2010-05-10 22:13:00 Author: jonlolz Posts: 155 |

There will no doubt be some sort of menu that tells the player the control scheme. Or a magic mouth *cough* erm, cutscene would show you what to do. | 2010-05-10 22:59:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |

Not to give noobs the opportunity to Spam, okay? Sorry if I sounded Rude. | 2010-05-10 23:48:00 Author: DaSackBoy Posts: 606 |
I like the Idea of the seat because I can make a vehicle without having to sacrifice space to add controls for details | 2010-05-11 00:19:00 Author: agrx Posts: 192 |
