Had an interesting thought for the level spotlight... wouldn't it be kind of neat to have a different "guest" spotlighter for each spotlight? It could give newer members a chance to spotlight some of their favorite levels, as well as take some of the pressure off of the spotlight crew.

Interesting idea... I could see it becoming a nightmare for CC to get permissions right for access to that area though. Might work if we just communicated via pm though. Hm... something to think about.

I like the idea. It would certainly reduce the stress on the spotlight crew. Not sure, logistically, how it would work, but it could be a nice way to find potential spotlight team members or for the retirees to give back without a full time commitment.

The guest spotlighter may not need full permission to the spotlight thread. Maybe they just submit their picks and comments. Then the regulars could add their comments.

I think a guest spotlighter would be a great way for the community to give credit to levels they feel should have been spotlighted previously but weren't.

Definately people shouldn't be able to spotlight their OWN levels . But, I would love to see some active members that aren't as well known given a chance to express their opinions and contribute. When I first became part of the spotlight crew I LOVED being able to throw a few levels up there that I always felt should have been spotlighted - such as Metal Revolution and Fall of Winter. This would give more members the ability to express themselves. It would be fun to get a member that's into the "expert platforming"-type gaming to have a chance, for instance.

What happens when the Guest Spotlighter wants to include a level that everyone else thinks sucks? Are they actually Spotlighting a level of their choice or are they commenting on ones already chosen by the crew? Are the guests going to be invited or are they just sending in suggestions and comments? If not invited. do the crew have to sift through the many, many comments recommending a friend's level?
