Just played this level.

Okay, it showed that this level is one of those "purely visual" levels. Well, how were the visuals? I liked the title screen, and the lights looked pretty good. I didn't like the colour of the water once you enter the cave, though. It looked... dirty. Which is a slight on a level that is clearly all about looking pretty.

The lightwork was nice, like I said, but you my want to consider altering the level's general illumination. So that it gets darker or more clear from part to part, you know. That would help make the other effects more striking.

One thing that could have been better are the obstacles. I mean, the level is really, REALLY easy. But I like that on a visual level, though. Also, the part where you have to grab a fabric ball and then some bombs drop down, the ball is barely visible. That area looked like a dead end, and I figured out what to do by pure chance. You my want to add a light to the fabric ball so it is easier to see. Or else people will think that they've made it to a dead end and quit right there.

Overall, :star::star::star::star:. It wasn't the flashiest aesthetic level out there, but it looked nice. I like visual levels.

Not too bad. I don't really share figuer's complaint about the water; yes, it looked kind of muddy, but I think it fit well. The music didn't really fit, though; it was a little too happy for a level that's darker in tone, but that's really just a minor issue.

The variety in the visuals was nice. I especially like the mounds of treasure, and starting outside of the cave then making my way in. Still, it could use some more variety.
All in all, I liked it more than I usually like all-visual levels.

Very nice, just finished playing it.

Dark Water II's visuals are great, as mentioned above, the water is a li'l bit murky, but hey, from where I'm sat, it doesn't bother me, though I do understand Figuer's point.
You could work on the overall Illuminocity, the part inside the cave where you have to grab the spinning wheels was VERY clouded, it could be my lighting, my TV's next to a patio, but still, it seems pretty dark, I'd recommend you edit that. o:

Overall, it's a nice level, it's "worth playing", don't take that the wrong way, it looks great, it's pick up and play, that said, it's playtime is the equivalent to defrosting chips in the microwave and as Figuer said, it's really easy, for that you should make a sequel, no need editing little things, eh? /;D

Played through the level.

Wow, what great visuals! The visuals are the best part of this level by far. Sadly, the level is very short, and very easy to get through. There also barely seems to be a story. Still, the visuals are very good, and if you make a sequel, you would just need to focus on gameplay a bit more. I gave you 4 stars.

But how about commenting on the obtacles? On the concept? On the visuals? Shouldn't you be able comment on the quality of a level disregarding how hard it may be? Especially to someone who did you the favor of playing your level? Should you rate a level 1 star only because you can't beat it?

Bah, I guess it serves me right for expecting a little girl to do something right.

Calm down, people - other people's threads about levels is NOT a good place to trash them...
*mod comes in and throws me in garbage*

Anyway, from the look of the pictures, I could list one improvement: Make the roof lower.
Making the roof lower using the corner editing tool adds a sense of personalization to the level, so that it's not a big cave without a roof. Perhaps you could add more decorations and materials to accentuate the level - contrasting materials, such as Gingham (from the Incredibles pack) or something along those lines.

However, I will play the level and lend my feedback!

Hello Joruto-

I like this level. It is really great visually, and I think it uses lighting in some very interesting ways. The level was short, but that was okay though because the great visuals totally made up for it. There was a lot of things that I liked about this level, such as the boat at the beginning, and the introduction part. I haveon small criticism though, perhaps add another material or two in the cave, and try to use the corner editing tool a bit more. Overal, this was a great level visually, keep up the nice work Joruto.

I rated it :star::star::star::star::star:.

Hey, looks pretty. I'll play it after lunch.

Can you leave feedback on Farewell Ruins of the Moon: Chapter One (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=26787-Farewell-Ruins-of-the-Moon-Chapter-One) by AbstractSam? I'll leave feedback on yours after I'm done eating lunch.

EDIT: Hmm. Okay, I got done playing it and I was dissapointed to say the least. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but I just want to leave some criticism. First, there were very awkward selection of visuals. For example, I saw some of the MGS VR (I think its called, the stuff that has glowing lines) placed throughout your level and it didn't fit at all. The visuals weren't that great either. There was hardly any gameplay and it was way to easy. And lastly, the biggest problem, it was INCREDIBLY short, there's no way you could have run out of thermo, so I don't understand why it wasn't longer. Did you run out of ideas? :/

Hey Joruto, I actually played this level along side you today! Anyways, the visuals were beautiful, really beautiful! The gameplay could've been a little more original, I mean it needs more of a WOW factor. Overall I rated 4 stars, with a few tweaks you may get 5 stars. 2010-06-30 22:01:00
