Monster Master
(Working Title)
A Pokemon-Style RPG


Basics

Monster Types
Here are the types of monsters
Water, Electric, Fire, Earth, Air.

Type Mathups
Certain types deal extra damage to each other

Water - Fire - Air - Earth - Electric - Water

Battle System
The battle system will be ATB (Action Time Battle), meaning your action bars (used to show when your turn will be) will always be running even during the enemy turn.

There will be 3 types of actions along with sub-actions in each. These actions are Attack, Item, Switch Monster.
Attack includes the 3 or 4 different aattack options of your monster
Item includes the 2 different potions. One for healing Hp (Hit points or Health), and another for restoring Ap (Action Points). per move.
Switch monster allows you to switch between the 3 different monsters you are allowed to hold.

Stats
Each monster will have its own set stats. Usually a type of monster will specialize in (a) certain stat(s).
The different stats are Hp, Speed, and Attack.
These are the Stat Specialization of different types.
Earth - Hp
Fire - Attack
Water - Speed
Electric - Speed
Air - Hp

This may be old, but it says you last edited it 20 hours ago so I'm going to say what I think.

It sounds adventurous and difficult to pull off, but if you could do it I would be very interested in playing. How do you plan to make the battles? Would it be like against an AI, and would they know good type matchups so they could actually challenge you?

Anyway, good luck with this project, I'd be interested to see if anything comes of it

battles will happen using a randomizer and teleportation glitch

randomizer for when and what to battle
teleportation glitch to bring user to the area

I could probably make AI using many magnetic keys so i can check type and then if it is bad type matchup then it will switch on turn.

The battle system will be quite tricky. If possible I would try to get help on it otherwise it will take much time.
I think if the battle sytem becomes too hard to make I will just leave it to one monster per person/enemy. That would be a last resort though.

I really want to get this up as I love pokemon and I think it would be something great for all Pokemon fans.
