Video - Steep climb
Archive: 8 posts
Excuse the 'off screen' quality... best I'm able to do. First video is the climb I was curious about... How steep can a vehicle climb with the material that has the most grip? 4A-OlM-iJ8Q Next video is the same climb but, rather than using rubber for the ramp, I used glass. 6Cqrj4l7yro Last video was a blooper of the first video. I thought it would be fun to show off while going vertical... that will teach me! R-wdkFTHPwM All videos are without the use of rockets which are fun but... would ruin the test. Edit* also... I made the sackboy using stickers... it's my ode to Heath Ledger as the Joker in Dark Knight. | 2008-10-05 02:50:00 Author: 1000101 Posts: 192 |
lol. the blooper was funny! ibet if you put a weak rocket on the top of the vehicle it would go verticle | 2008-10-05 02:54:00 Author: Sage Posts: 2068 |

i tried the double wheel coaster concept ( two wheels on each side of a rail ) and it went completly vertical! but its really hard to perfectly make the rail or the coaster | 2008-10-05 02:58:00 Author: Sage Posts: 2068 |

Really interesting test, there. Have you considered doing the same for all the different materials? I'd like to see the comparison from dark matter to just wood or another material like that. | 2008-10-05 03:03:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |
This was very informative, had no idea it could climb so steep, nor how much traction there was on the rubber. All good to know! And I love your Joker sackboy! A worthy tribute! | 2008-10-05 06:35:00 Author: KAPBAM Posts: 1348 |
