Video - Steep climb

Archive: 8 posts

Excuse the 'off screen' quality... best I'm able to do.

First video is the climb I was curious about... How steep can a vehicle climb with the material that has the most grip?

Next video is the same climb but, rather than using rubber for the ramp, I used glass.

Last video was a blooper of the first video. I thought it would be fun to show off while going vertical... that will teach me!

All videos are without the use of rockets which are fun but... would ruin the test.

Edit* also... I made the sackboy using stickers... it's my ode to Heath Ledger as the Joker in Dark Knight.

Yeah, I know... Mostly, I wanted to see how steep it could climb without help from rockets or rails.

Yeah! Thank you! It's my tribute to the late Heath Ledger and to the Joker as an awesome character.

Really interesting test, there. Have you considered doing the same for all the different materials? I'd like to see the comparison from dark matter to just wood or another material like that.2008-10-05 03:03:00

This was very informative, had no idea it could climb so steep, nor how much traction there was on the rubber. All good to know! And I love your Joker sackboy! A worthy tribute!2008-10-05 06:35:00
