Stuff Disappearing After Saving

Archive: 6 posts

The knothead who bought me LBP for my birthday and won't let me play it wants me to find out why pieces of the level he is building keeps disappearing when he returns to it after saving. He is using two materials and the thermometer level is only a quarter of the way. He hasn't gotten any warnings about the shape being too complicated either. What he is trying to do is build a platform out of dark gray cement and have colored glass blocks in the walls. Any ideas on that? 2010-05-08 22:04:00

Is everything always glued down and secure, is there any bombs or anything destructive? Does he save it every time before he leaves the level?2010-05-08 22:48:00

He claims he saves before he leaves. maybe it is the way he "saves"? Instead of selecting "save level" is he chooses to return to pod and when it asks if he wants to save, he clicks yes. no bombs in his level and he isn't gluing anything...everything sits on each other. He wastes alot of space. For instance, the floor is three layers thick but he makes the back wall two layers thick so it sits on the floor.2010-05-08 23:09:00

Stuff is probably just breaking - does he fix it down with dark matter?2010-05-08 23:19:00

If nothing is glued then it's probably falling on each other and breaking things, it's best to hold everything together with the dark matter material.2010-05-08 23:21:00

He's not getting any odd error messages when he first enters the Pod? I used to get messages like "Cannot load local profile for player .....". It didn't seem to stop me playing, but any level edits were not recognised when I exited LBP.2010-05-09 11:43:00
