Portal + Hitman

Hey there!

I have a computer which has Windows 7 on it. Would the games Portal and Hitman: Blood Money work on this (Assuming I have all the other required specifications on it)?

Thanks!

From using my Windows 7 Comp!...

Press Start, go to control panel - then in the top-right search bar type System.

Then, click on the the First word, that should say System

Then just take note of the RAM size & Your Processor size

don't, that site is too inaccurate

do what tommy said, or just type "dxdiag" in the windows 7 searchbar. (start)

But all the website does is look at minimum game requirements and compares it with your PC, Exactly what you're trying to do xD

I get every game at full bar lols

but it fails horribly at comparing since it says I cannot run SA, even on low. yet I can run it with everything on medium and native resolution.
same with L4D and L4D2, can't run em according to the site yet I can. (althought L4D2 gets laggy sometimes)

Thanks everyone!
First off - I tried that site, but it came up with a question mark for Windows 7 compatability. Thanks though!
Grantos - Can't get on PS3! Blood money doesn't come on ps3, and with portal, I wanna create maps. (Which I think you can only do on PC? Or am I wrong?) But thanks!
Cool thanks! Also, how do I know what my graphics card quality is?

Thanks all!

Anything from Valve should be purchased for the computer, not the consoles . Mods only work on the PC version.

I don't remember how to check for the graphics card on a windows computer, actually...

Also, most of Valve's games run fairly well on lower end computers.

yep, source games don't really require a fast computer.

anyway, press the start button and enter "dxdiag".
then go to the display window and tell us what it is... (though source games are more CPU demanding)
or you know what, just go to the dxdiag window, save it to your desktop, upload it somewhere and share it here if you don't know what is what.

OK sure. Here are my specs: (If I've included some I shouldn't have, just ignore it!)

OS: Windows 7 Premium 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-core CPU T4300 @ 2.10GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirextX 11

That help at all?
Oh and as for your PS2 question - don't have one =) (Didn't think I'd need one, having a PS3 and all! Besides, if I can remember right, the quality was crap anyway!)

Thanks!

Yep, I'm fairly confident you can run these games on high specs. They're not too demanding so they should run very smoothly.2010-05-05 22:00:00

Nah, the one you have with those specs will probably do.

If he has dx11 he must have the latest 5000 series from ATI or the GTX400 series from nvidia. Which will run perfectly fine.2010-05-07 19:33:00

Mine says 11 too yet it only supports dx10. (x3100)2010-05-07 20:47:00

Oh, how strange. Oh well there's not much difference between the 2, except dx11 is just much more proficient. Still with those CPU specs I'd imagine his GPU would easily do a valve game, and I can personally say the hitman games run great on low spec systems too (though latest ones takes a little bit more power).2010-05-07 20:52:00
