This is like a worst nightmare! Looks like I'll never be able to play littlebigplanet on my account anymore! Ever since the system froze while I was creating a level, I cannot play! It always freezes when it connects me online! I tried to play LBP on my brother's account and everything was fine like before...

Is there anything that can save the time wasted on 8 created levels? I really feel terrible right now

If you have the levels saved on your data just copy them over to another account.2010-05-01 15:23:00

No, I didn't save any data.

Have you tried staying offline? If you lock up when connecting, maybe you can stay offline, launch LBP, and pull your backups.

Sounds sorta like the profile corrupted, but not really sure.

Good luck!

if you have not backed up, or uploaded/published your levels,
you probably have to sit down and take a breather.
big chance your levels are lost as you have to reload a previous backed-up account.

I had this once, thankfully I backed up the night before, so I only lost what I build the next day.
Thats why I always publish my levels locked at night if i did any work on them, and backed them up on both the ps3 harddrive and usbstick.
(which I then put on my pc drive and upload to personal server lol).

Wait, you say that if my levels were published I should be able to copy them to other account? I didn't do the "back up" thing but they were all published. But when I go to saved data, I can't find anything littlebigplanet-realated.

Its under gamedate I think,
be sure you tried everything else before you delete your lbp data,
it means you have to re-ace every level unless you load a previously backed up profile.

Where can I find this gamedate thing?

Game data backup can be done on the moon and profile backup can be done in the start menu.

If you can get on while not playing online personally i would backup my profile delete your profile from the save data, then re import your profile back to the game.

This is probably going to fix it.

If not just try using a totally new save on your PSN account and see if you still get the problem.
If you do delete the game data off your PS3 and re install LBP and the patches. (But that is only a last result.

But I said I can't even enter the pod nor press start menu, because it freezes exactly after the connecting. I can't even enter offline
on my account.

I think you mean "delete from game data". To clarify...

Log in to your local PS3 user account, but don't sign into PSN.
Start up LBP.
Press Start, "Settings", "Profile Settings", "Back up Profile", and save to a new file.
Quit LBP.
Go into "Game", "Game Data" and delete the file called "<your PSN ID> LittleBigPlanet Profile"
Start LBP.
Press Start, "Settings", "Profile Settings", "Restore Profile", and load the file you just saved.

Then you can try logging back into PSN. If that still doesn't work, then you might have to export your levels manually and reimport into a new profile, but you'd have to play through all the story levels again to get all the create mode bits again.

You say it freezes "after connecting", even offline? What are you connecting to if you're offline?

I connected to my main profile, the one which freezes all the time and has all the levels, but I didn't sign in. It still froze though.
And by "local profile" you mean other than my main profile?

EDIT: I just tried something, maybe it's not important but when I played on my other account and turned on the second controller, selected my main profile as the 2nd player, the game froze.

If it's crashing even when you're not signed into PSN, then you're kinda stuffed without a backup. You're pretty much gonna have to start the game from scratch. If you've published any levels under your PSN, you can transfer them back to your new profile, but that's about all you're going to be able to restore.

Thanks for all replies, last question: how do I transfer all the levels to my new profile?

You can only transfer published levels. Once you've created a new profile (with a matching PSN ID), then go to "InfoMoon", "My Levels", select a level, and there should be a "Copy" option in the level admin tab, which will copy it to a selected crater on your moon.

Obviously, you'll have to have at least completed the first three levels in The Gardens to get the online options to appear.
