Haha, I love those concepts. If you do make a thread being updated regularly with your drawings, I'd happily subscribe to it.

Oh, I just got an idea, by the way. You guys said you wanted to see how these sackpeople were done, right? Maybe I can do a livestream sometime. If you don't know, a livestream is where the computer screen is recorded using a program, and you can watch people draw live and talk to the other viewers, and the host, in a chatroom while you watch. How's that sound?
That would be awesome!

I hate Florida too...Too hot. Too many touirsts and tacky people. I can imagine how many tourists you get in Orlando because of the theme parks, we get so many here, two hours away from Orlando, and there's nothing but boring historical places and overpriced attractions!2010-05-19 01:27:00

The moderators are members of the staff that make the thread possible in the first place. There are plenty of "where do you live" threads. Why not use those if you choose not to talk about drawings? Oh boy, not again! Sorry Mods, this thread just keeps wandering, and %99 of the time, it's because of me. Sorry about that, 2e'll be sure to stay on topic.

Exact date? Heh heh, there's no exact date, it's not like it's a game release or anything that special. I'll just say when they're open. It will most likely be sometime, if not immediately, after June 9th.

I've got two comic storyboards/drafts so far. I'm just being flooded with ideas for levels because of LBP2, I might draw some concepts for them. Maybe even a level with my own non-LBP characters made into costumes to put on Sackbots for NPC's?

sarcastic way? that's how i talk it isn't "sarcastic" it's just how i speak
and mods don't make the threads possible...the forum and the main mod (CC) are how threads are possible in the first place...the only thing mods are...are the peacekeepers who clean up the threads....and too many threads are being made so why cant the person who made their own thread decide what is on-topic or not to help save space?

i mean really...we get enough beta threads being made when beta's come out...so why cant my thread about pixel art also discuss beta to help clean the forums and such?

and also this is not a complaint....i dont see where i was complaining...i was just expressing what i thought...and then going back "on topic"

Hey, that's pretty good! Especially for your first try. I like the pose too. Try to be a bit neater though, it'll make your drawings look so much more awesome. Actually...Those proportions are better than I can do. That's exactly what a sackperson's proportions are like. The paintinator is almost as big as a sackboy's head, though, keep that in mind.

That's not bad for your first try on SAI, and with a mouse, I know they can be a pain. SAI is suited best for tablets, though you can change the settings in 'Options' to be more suitable for a mouse. 		2010-05-20 22:53:00

Oh, and before I release the comics, I'll be doing mini biographies/info about the recurring characters, including (but not limited to!) Josh, UltimateClay, Doopz, my sackperson, etc. I plan to release one comic on a certain day each week, starting the week of June 9th when I finish school.

I don't know why but I just discovered one day that I was good at drawing hands. This hand actually annoys me a bit because the thumb is out of proportion and the fingers are all out of whack too, some short, some fat but it was just a little doodle I did during my exam. Somehow it still looks decent, so I'm happy.

I have to finish the 4 online classes I have left by June 9th. No problem, right? Except the thing is, I write out a schedule of what assignments to do and when, and if I follow that schedule I'll finish easily. But my sister uses the same computer to do her online school too, so if she goes on the computer first, she ends up finishing at like 8 or even 10pm. I just cannot concentrate when I have to work late, so I say okay, I'll make up for it tomorrow. I have to keep rewriting my schedule over and over again...I mean, I know I'll finish the classes by the deadline, because if I don't my parents will KILL me for getting an F, but it's just I'm such a procrastinator and I keep trying not to be.

Bottom line; The comic, tutorial, and requests being open will happen AFTER the week of June 9th, okay? Don't expect anything from me until then, but I might post a doodle or two if I have time.

Thanks for your support everyone.

Though, it's not necessary to stay away from this thread until I finish, I do get quite a bit of free time whether I like it or not because my sister does her work on the computer, holding me off from mine. I do see where you're coming from, though, it's a good idea, though I'm going to just stop procrastinating altogether and follow my schedule. Luckily this thread (or LBPC) isn't the cause or effect of my procrastination.

And I've got Sunday off, so I'll probably be doodling.

Oh! Did I mention last week I got a Sackboy T-shirt last week at fye, that DVD/music/game store? It's black with that Sackboy picture in the middle, you know the one of him holding the globe? That one, and some glowy effects behind it. Oh man I love it. They only had medium and at first I was like OH GOD WHY because at Hot Topic they had a Kratos Sackboy t-shirt, but only for men's so I couldn't get that one...But the tee I got fits perfectly, gonna wear it tomorrow.

It's an actual scene with dynamic poses and a good background and it's going to look all awesome (if it comes out the way I hope it will, at least) and all that. No, that does not mean they're open. I just removed it because I thought people might think the thread was closed or something like that, and it being there was just bugging me for some reason.

very impressive drawing...so is the comic based around the story of pirates? seems like an interesting concept....

taking a ship to sea sailing level to level searching for point bubbles and prize bubbles and such in search of adventure and all

an occasional fight with an enemy pirate ship (mine? ) in which ends in a stalemate and fleeing to fight another day

Oh wow. That's really awesome. :hero:

The characters are extremely well-done, as is the rain effect covering the picture. The detail is amazing in terms of any other LittleBigPlanet art I've seen. The atmosphere... brilliant (and very classy, too!). It has the feeling of a distant, foreign land, but still keeps that vibe of a level you'd play online (perhaps LBP2?). The expressions are phenomenal, and it's as though the longer I look at it, the more little nit-picks and details I find. I'm not sure what that was actually meant to mean so....
I think the light from the windows is a little too intense, you know what else in intense? Camping! get it In-Tents? Anyway, yeah, I think the light would look better if it was a little softer.

Like others, my initial response was "woah", followed by a session of staring at the computer screen for several minutes.

That's amazing! It blows away all the other artwork you've made so far, (but your other artwork was great, which is testament to how phenomenal this one is!) It looks extremely professional. The combination of your great drawing skill and computer editing knowledge makes this look great. I see the subtle but important effects you added -- the yellow light reflecting on the ship's mast, the foamy tips on the waves in the background, the mist plumes and varying intensity of the mist, the grime on the pirates' faces, so many things that bring depth and realism to the picture. It's one of those pictures where you feel like you can step into it. It looks very believable -- I can imagine how cold and wet those sack-pirates feel, especially the (seasick?) one hanging over the edge!		2010-06-08 00:13:00

So I've had a good hard long looks at the picture and this is what I've come up with but first I can't believe the detial I missed before such as the rope snapping, the scar on the sackboys face and how the one leaning over the side has a rope, great stuff. I'm gonna save this pic, if you don't mind of course.

Now I only really have 2 suggestions,

1. It would be really cool if the sail has a skull and crossbones, maybe the same style as the skeleton sackboy costume.

2. Also the background looks a little dull for my liking, I think some sort of creepy dark island would fit perfectly. Maybe one of those ones you see in cartoons where the island makes a creepy face with caves, you know the sort.

There isn't really any room, and it would add more clutter. Part of the depth comes from the vast stretches of ocean. the hair is knuckles the echidna's head
the gloves and boots are syndrome's
the coat is from the history pack (lol i know it's a "dress" but my character is MALE and it looked cool to make it as a COAT)
the sackboy is a SHADOWCREATURE (hence my PSN alias lol) so yeah technically he has no mouth or stitches and such he is a lot like VIVI in which he is ALL BLACK except for the clothing and such

and idk what else to add...maybe a timid but aggressive POSE (like a shy guy pose but that looks like a battle ready pose lol)

oh and as you can tell my character face has no EMOTION on it so yeah no smiles(cuz no mouth) and no weird eye expressions

lol sorry for the long post...just want this to be excellent...especially with your ever evolving art style

well anyways thanks for the spot and such

Yeah, it was pretty surprising there was barely any discussion about it. I don't have any money to buy it with, and after a big situation with the PS store charging my mom's paypal money just for trying to register the credit card, and it kept saying it was invalid/incorrect...Anyways, I hope I can get a ps store card or something so I can get it.

No. I'll give you a hint...It's a very VERY well known video game series...People liked the classic ones, but they hate the new ones these days...Personally, I loved the most recent one.
