Circular gradiant stickers.
Archive: 23 posts
Simple enough right? The square are the best stickers for use on most everything in my opinions, but they are no good when their small and you need to shade certain small areas. Gradiant circles would be more convieniant to use in these situations and more. They already have a yellow one in the incredibles pack, we need more of those!![]() | 2010-04-28 20:31:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |
Agreed all the way~ | 2010-04-29 16:47:00 Author: FuzzballFox ![]() Posts: 217 |
YES. Shading looks AWFUL with those lines on the sides! | 2010-04-30 07:14:00 Author: KablooieKablam ![]() Posts: 364 |
Yes, outlines on the circles/squares are so annoying. ![]() | 2010-04-30 07:48:00 Author: midnight_heist ![]() Posts: 2513 |
You could always make a circular gradiant sticker. You should be able to by making a circle probably 10 small grid squares wide and then putting down the base color (e.g. red, green, blue, etc) then you can gradiants you already have to make parts lighter/darker and you can use the shadow sticke for more effects. I have never tried this but it might work, Hope this helps | 2010-05-01 15:47:00 Author: tanrockstan34 ![]() Posts: 1076 |
tanrockstan34, you might be able to, but it would be pointless. The point of the gradient sticker is SHADING, not just to have a nice orb. | 2010-05-02 00:58:00 Author: KablooieKablam ![]() Posts: 364 |
You would take a picture of it and then the circle graident part you would enlaarge to fit the object. 8D | 2010-05-03 21:28:00 Author: tanrockstan34 ![]() Posts: 1076 |

You cannot make a circle gradient sticker, but they would be so useful i dont see how MM overlooked adding them. | 2010-05-04 00:20:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |
Why? Its would be the same as the square gradient... -_- OR you can make your own shade of color anywhere else. | 2010-05-04 00:24:00 Author: Silverleon ![]() Posts: 6707 |
Silverleon, a circle gradient would be much more practical. | 2010-05-04 00:54:00 Author: KablooieKablam ![]() Posts: 364 |

You can only use the square gradient to shade things as a whole, not to shade small areas in the middle of something for instance, because you can see the square outline and one side is darker than the other. | 2010-05-04 01:47:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |
Silverleon, a circle gradient would be much more practical. Please don't just say "Because its better", that's pretty much "just because", add an explanation to your answer. You can only use the square gradient to shade things as a whole, not to shade small areas in the middle of something for instance, because you can see the square outline and one side is darker than the other. Wouldn't that leave then a circularoutline instead? You can't assume its gonna be exactly like you imagine it will be m8. | 2010-05-05 09:24:00 Author: Silverleon ![]() Posts: 6707 |
Look at The yellow circular gradiant from incredibles pack, im suggesting stickers like that except darker. I didnt think my idea was so complicated. >.> | 2010-05-05 11:00:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |
Yo, leon, i think it would help a tons. i hate the square ones have their limits in detailing, especially when trying to make a circle of gradient! | 2010-05-05 11:13:00 Author: Joshofsouls ![]() Posts: 1569 |
Silverleon, just take some deep breaths. It's a good idea. It wouldn't hurt you. Cool it. | 2010-05-06 07:06:00 Author: KablooieKablam ![]() Posts: 364 |
So simple, yet an affective idea. | 2010-05-08 06:31:00 Author: JspOt ![]() Posts: 3607 |
@Silverleon: It would be waaaaaaaay smoother when copying and pasting next to each other | 2010-05-09 16:24:00 Author: tjb0607 ![]() Posts: 1054 |

I'd lke to see more gradients like that! Sounds like a great idea to me. a black or white gradient would be especially usefull. in a pinch, though, there is a tool I use from time to time... | 2010-05-20 11:19:00 Author: swanbrown ![]() Posts: 898 |
I would totally love this! No idea why they didn't give us circles in the first place tbh. Don't know if any of you have messed about with the livery editor in Forza 2 before, but that had a circle gradient sticker and I made some pretty sweet looking paint jobs just by drawing with it up like a Photoshop brush. Loads more versatile than the square. ![]() | 2010-05-20 13:41:00 Author: Kiminski ![]() Posts: 545 |
I would like this as well...the orange circle gradient was very useful for my last level, fortunately it happened to be the color I needed. I don't really want more stickers though...I've come to despise slogging through the horrible sticker popit menu. What I really want is to be able to choose an rgb, gradient (radial or directional), and transparency. I'm not thrilled with the weird and the limited color selection they give us. Where's a nice pure-blue, instead we just get cyan...and how about a nice non-day glow green? Maybe this could be done with a few sticker shapes (a square and a circle)...and then you choose the fill/gradient using square or something (like you do with choosing gas color which should also allow any rgb!). I do hope LBP2 addresses some of my stickering woes... | 2010-05-20 14:56:00 Author: fullofwin ![]() Posts: 1214 |

That's exactly what I was thinking. The color selection seems to be a bit too limited. I once found myself wanting for gray. That shouldn't happen. | 2010-06-11 20:49:00 Author: UULibrarian ![]() Posts: 5 |
Hmmm... I wasn't sure if I thought this made any sense at first but after experimenting with the drawing in a line it does make more sense, it would blend a lot smoother. (Unless you're adept at getting the square gradient pixel perfect... I spend a while getting my gradients to match up decently...) Choosing RGB colors for stickers like in MNR would be divine... | 2010-06-12 14:47:00 Author: Foofles ![]() Posts: 2278 |
