Star Ocean LBP

Ever wonder what it takes to be a Star Ocean character? You probably haven't. Well, now you probably are. Run through a preliminary test to discover if you have the necessary skills to become a Star Ocean character everyone will swoon over. Or stay as a LBP mascot. That's cool too.. I guess.

Feedback would be great. Please don't ask me to add anything big as my thermo is one sensor switch away from overheating. But any bugs you may find I will look into. There will be a part 2 so don't fret. (unless you're already not fretting because my level sucks )

Oh, and I know that there's a visible magnetic key switch in the beginning by the first elevator.. the game glitched and doesn't let me delete it.. so, yes make fun of it all you want.

A quick heads up: This level IS a puzzler. So put on your thinking caps!

Absolutely beautiful level. Scenery looks gorgeous, and it has some very innovative elements, like the teleporter, the sinking pedestals, or those cool scissoring stairs.

By the way, is it hazardous to your health to stand to close to an active teleporter...? (I just hope my hair will grow back soon.)

Story is funny and engaging. Great narrator again.

The level is quite tough, you'll need to take some time and really explore the different rooms and areas of the ship. Exploring, some careful shooting, plugging and unplugging machinery, working the teleporter etc.
In the end you'll even need some of your finest (well at least: funniest) silent killing moves.

Fantastic stuff, can't wait for the sequel!

Thank you pickled! Had a blast playing with you and I'm glad you did too. Lmao scissoring stairs. I guess I'll call it that from now on! . The level is pretty tough, I admit. You'd have to pay close attention and try everything. I do take the complaints to heart and wish I could put an extra magic mouth or two but Mr.Thermo rules with an iron fist. The only real useful hint you get is the notice you get at the bottom deck. But even then, it won't help you with the deck up top. For that, you need careful observation. As for the sequel.. it won't be out for sometime. I'm totally burnt out on level making lol. So happy it's finally done though.

Welcome again! Seems like you've played like all my levels lol. Well, I hope you enjoy this one, despite it's difficulty.

I played this earlier, it was awesome, I didn't finish though, not because I didn't like it, because I just didn't have enough time to play. I will try again later when I have more time. So, the visuals were the best part of this level, the space theme was well done, and I love the font you used. I also liked the space ship that only Star Ocean characters drive. The name of the level was great too, at first, I thought it would be an ocean level, for some reason I didn't think about the word star. The gameplay was nice, and puzzling. The teleporting concept was really cool. The intro was also very good. Overall, what I've played of this level is great so far.

I rated it :star::star::star::star::star:.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you had a great time playing throughout. Hope you get to finish it soon. Thanks for the 5 star! Lol ocean! Maybe it's because you've played so many levels that pertained to water .2010-04-30 02:49:00

That was a beautiful, fun level! I've never actually tried the star ocean games but this level was great regardless. I really liked the puzzles and the platforming was also very fun

I played through this level with 4 people, and one place that did need retouching is the elevator that services most of the level. It's really easy to leave someone behind, and the camera tended to track the person who was left behind. If that person goes and activates a checkpoint while the elevator is gone, the level can't be completed. Also, we managed to get one person to stand on top of the elevator, and he was able to jump onto the roof of your level and see all your logics and dark matters there's also a tube which has point bubbles running through it. HE got in there, which effectively allows for infinite points. you could avoid all these problems by making the players control the elevator a different way, and by having a sensor to make sure everyone is in the elevator. It would be a shame if the level broke cuz of something like that.

Besides that one section though, your level was really fun! 5 stars

Whoa! Interesting. Sounds like I need to put some hazards on top of the elevator lol. As for the tube.. I'll probably put gas in there. I'm not sure yet. Thanks for playing my level! I'll get to fixing it as soon as I can. Glad you enjoyed it! Also, thanks for the 5 star . I appreciate it!2010-04-30 11:34:00
