General Level Showcase Guidelines

Archive: 1 post

When posting in the Level Showcase there are a few guidelines that should be adhered to. Think of these as the rules which, if not followed, may result in a thread being closed or deleted.

Double Posting/Bumping
Don't do it. These are site-wide rules, but it can't hurt to reiterate here. Double posting occurs whenever you make more than one post consecutively. This is quite annoying, as it clutters up the thread and ruins the Cool Levels (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=10809-About-Cool-Levels) system. In that same vein, bumping occurs whenever you make a post that generally offers nothing to the thread, and only serves to bring the thread to the top of the forums. If you must add additional information, familiarize yourself with the Edit Button (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_editing_de leting). That said, you are allowed to make a second consecutive post only if you have substantial information to add in the post. Make the smart choice!

Duplicate Threads
...will be deleted. We do not tolerate the posting of duplicate threads, as they clutter up the forums. One thread per level is sufficient. If you would like to start fresh with a level, either edit the original message, or post in the original thread with your significant changes as per the above guidelines.

Asking for Hearts, Plays
...is very frowned upon. This comes in many forms, predominantly with "H4H" and asking for help obtaining certain trophies. We here at LBPCentral respect the process of creating levels, and do not appreciate sullying that notion with asking for hearts or plays. If you are just trying to gain exposure, you are free to take advantage of the Feedback for Feedback (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=7962-Feedback-For-Feedback) option on this site. You are presented with the option when you initially post a new level, and it can be added at any time by Editing your first post and clicking 'Go Advanced.' For additional advice on making your level threads more appealing, check out these Tips for Maximizing Level Feedback (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=10692-How-to-Maximize-Level-Feedback).

Failure to follow these policies will likely result in threads or posts being closed or deleted. If you have any questions, feel free to ask a Staff Member.

Thanks,
LBPC Staff
