Morbid DespairART 1 (HORROR)xX-Delirium-Xx
http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo312/crowface/APhoto_2.jpgSignal player recommended
What makes a man play god and mutilate his victims?
Maybe you can find out as you are his next victim.

Classic Horror gameplay

(NOT FOR KIDS UNDER 16 as it may be too disturbing for some players)
WARNIN: CONTAINS CARDBOARD GORE!
Not for kids under 16 and may hurt head. any one pron to seizures be warned.

After about a month and a half I have finally finished my level Morbid despair.
This is the first part of 2. Though I don't plan on working on part 2 for a long while.. if this gets enough plays and requests I may just do that.

Graphics: I put a lot of work on the look so that it is very disturbing and I hope it pleases.

Gameplay: Classic horror game play was in mind here, with many puzzles and key items to progress it should tease your brain a bit....as well as your heart.

you need to find the code :-P first look for shiny red button in security room on second floor. then return down stairs to find unloucked doors.

Hey. Just played your level, and I really enjoyed this one
I like horror levels in LBP, but few manage to create an atmosphere like I just experienced in your level.
The visuals were great, and the gameplay totally fitted in with this. Usually I'm not a big fan of backtracking, but it didn't bother me a single moment here.

I actually missed the lighter in the beginning, so after obtaining the gas can I spend a long time before I actually found it.
Was close to giving up, but I'm glad I didn't. Otherwise I would have missed the wicked stuff after that part
Especially liked the chainsaw victim, how the window would slowly fill up with his blood....that was brutal.

Only had one weird occurence. In the room with the lab key you are told you need something to melt the ice, but when I jumped on the ice a flame torch apeared and melted it. I thought this was supposed to happen, untill I plugged the circuit in and actually found the torch

Overall, great level, great atmosphere, can't wait for a sequel!

:star::star::star::star::star: and a ripped out heart from me.

Yay, I finally got to play this level.

Personally, I didn't think it was better then The Cursed, but it was still really good. My favorite part of the level was the amazing cutscenes and sound. (i'd play the level again just to see the guy get cut by a saw >__>) I also liked the visuals, but at the beginning of the level the camera was very awkward, kind of hiding the visuals. -_- There were also some weird looking places like the dark matter stuff at the beginning of the level was pretty awkward and unfitting.

Congrats on the ending, very feel levels make me beg for more, but yours did. I was dissapointed that it ended, I wish I could of kept playing. D: Not saying the level was short, of course, it was actually quite lengthy for the amount of detail used, I think.

Interesting story as well, I'm curious to see what happens next. So yeah, thanks for making this level. I had fun. Horror levels are my favorite.

:star::star::star::star: stars and a heart.

Hey delirium, i just played it again with a friend and found a level ending bug a ways in. When you climb up the boxes to look into the hole to see a body being dragged across, my friend thought you were suppose to go in and it wasnt blocked off, he fell into a hole a ways down. This caused my sackboy to die for being off screen and he had to pop, and when we got back, the elevator never came down and we were trapped Easy fix probably.2010-04-27 01:16:00

I played this level and most of the stuff are just plain awesome.

First of, this level is really really nice. Very nice use of lighting and the mood is perfect. There are some misspellings but nothing that detracts to the whole experience. The gory stuff are just plain awesome and really gory especially the cutscenes. Very nice use of Sound too. The part were there's this dark room and someone inside looks like they're "doing" someone was plain genius. I chuckled when i saw that.

While I was playing, I was joined by 3 others. Guess I forgot to choose to play by myself. We restarted the whole level. I know you said it's recommended for single player.

By the end though, for some reason, it took awhile for us to drop by the exit and when we finally dropped by the scoreboard, it just got stuck there. The board got stuck at "High scores" part. It never moved after that so we were just stranded there and couldn't finish the whole level. I don't know, maybe it was just the system and after all, you said on the description that it's 1 player recommended.

Also, it has been pointed above. On the part where you get a cutscene of the doctor's boots, some of my team mates could fall off through the hole to the other side where it's all black.

I know it's not a big deal too but the doors could use some type of sticker or something to make them look better. Everything in your level are top notch but the doors were mostly plain.

Other than the above. I loved your level. It's one of those levels where I was in awe the whole time I was playing. I gave it :star::star::star::star: and you got my heart too!

For return feedback, can you please leave feedback on my level Ashes to Ashes Part 3 (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=25862-Ashes-to-Ashes-Part-3)? Thank you and have a nice day!!!

as for a sequel i may be a long time. I spent so much time on this I go sick of looking at it lol.

Alright, i'll try. I'm sure I didn't skip the cutscene, because I accidently skipped it, but then I restarted the level because I skipped it. xD Anyway, when I saw the "dragging the sackboy" scene, all I saw was a piece of glass moving, and a huge chunk of dark matter. o_O So next time I get on I'll see if I can get a screenshot.

EDIT: Okay, I played it again to take pics but the level is broken now. at the beginning, you can see a platform going up and down, and if you move to the left you'll fall off the level. I landed on the top of your level and I was walking arround the ceiling. o_O

yeah I noticed O_o sorry I forgot to close the hole I made when i was editing the level. it works fine now. btw are you on a HD tv? if so maybe thats why you see the darkmatter cause your tv shows more on the screen then my standerd tv... I need a hd tv :-P

Okay, I played this last night with Shhabbazz and man was I freaked out! The atmosphere was incredibly believeable and all the little effects like flickering lights and creaking sounds had me for a loop. I did'nt experience anthing weird exept what Abstract pointed out. Was constructed very well and the dragging the body scene was pretty epic also. One thing I saw that made me go "whoa!" was the sawing of the body and the blood splattering on the window. Great level man, and I really hope you continue on with the second level sometime. REALLY great atmosphere and I was on edge the whole time! No joke. I gave:star::star::star::star::star: and a heart. You really outdid yourself this time dude!2010-04-29 18:40:00

I'll play this one tonight.

I'd rather play it while it's dark. ^_^

Hopefully it will bring back that same sense of fear that the old Clocktower (I think that's what it was called) game did with that scissorman killer that chases you throughout.

Yeah I have an HD TV, but I think the dark matter is actually done on purpose.

See the dark matter used as lids? I think it would look better if you use a different material.

I played this a little while ago, and I loved it. The atmosphere was perfect, and the cutscenes you made were fantastic! I rather liked the man getting killed by the saw with his blood splattering on the window.

There were a few glitches, though...

-If you go to the left on the street when you start, you can jump on the car, but you get stuck on the back against the invisible wall.
-Some of the doors just fall over.
-The cutscene of the window/vent thing can be triggered without standing on the boxes

And I had a minor problem... The stairs below the walkway where you get the lock combination were practically invisible. I found them by accident holding R1, seeing if there was something grabbable after searching for the staircase for that long.

Still an amazing level. 5 stars, heart, and author heart!

Positives:
I loved your use of lighting and sound effects to set the mood. Wonderful stuff. Water dripping, shifting sounds, etc all added to the tension! Your use of the 3D layers was also well executed. I thought your decorations really added to the level. I especially liked the little details like the fire extinguisher and the power outlets, and the broken lockers upstairs, etc. The walk-in cooler with the frozen corpses was really cool. I thought the level was very well thought out in terms of how to look for objects to move to the next area. This is a fine example of RPG like levels.

Suggestions:
During the heart beat cut scene (after being hit by the car, you can see a piston floating at the bottom of the screen. At the top of the first stairs where you use R1 to open doors for the first time, its a little too easy to fall back down the stairs as you hit R1. If you added a little landing at the top, it would be a little easier to get into the first room.

5stars + a heart!

Oh another problem I noticed while my brother was playing this was when you are looking for the fire thingy to melt the ice. To get there, you need the circuit to power the light. If not, you'll get a "its to dark to go this way" sort of message. However, after you put in the circuit, the message is still there. A little problem, can easily be fixed by putting the mouth on dissovle material.2010-05-01 04:40:00

hmm thanks for the idea. I know ill put it on the dissolve wall so it goes with it. Thank you all for the suggestions and RoharDragontamer thanks for pointing that out Ill move the piston out of the way. its about to over load though

Great level, I do say though, I got lost in the darkness as well.

sorry about the dark. I cant keep changing the lighting thou. standard tv and hd tv's lighting is very different. im on a standard so the lighting is just right but a bit darker for hd tvs. if I brighting it it gets too bright for standard and is not as scary.

try going under settings and increace your gamma setting

Could you make it a tad lighter so everyone would not have to adjust their Gamma's and Brightnesses?

Edit: I played it, didn't get very far. Got stuck when that one door is locked, then i go upstairs and run right and hear a random scream

you need to explore the place. have you ever played a resident eveil or silent hill game? Is the same. look for items to use and find where to use them.(HINT) top floor to the furthest left to find the item you need... and dont forget the lighter

I played this a few nights ago after a recommendation from DEGPROPP. I'm really glad he did because it was amazing!

It took me at least 20 minutes to complete but it was all worth it! The atmosphere was first rate and genuinely unnerving! It didn't feel like I was playing LBP! I didn't have a problem with the lighting like other people have experienced.

Of course, I gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3

Looking forward to part 2!

you got a great and creapy level here delirium, like liked almost every bit.
i felt like i quit lbp and started playing a reall horror game, theres no platforming but the puzzles and creapy visuals are all done perfectly.

but it may just even go above the rating, i'd watch out. i got banned for 7 days for a lot less (my zombie level).
but as long as no one reports you ur save

thanks and I doubt I will. I notice that as long as you give people a warning or a rating like Teen or mature then they don't have a reason to report cause they was warned. its good to let people know whats in it.

This level was amazing! Truly astonishing! The lighting was a very small problem, though, it's a horror level, and darkness make it better! I liked the cinematics, especially when you look though the hole in the wall and the odd crawling mutated human thing. :star::star::star::star::star: from me!

I did have some problems with the spawn points, some where too far, and when I got stuck, I had to travel long distances.
