ok so im getting some experience game developing so i can get a gob soon after high school and i been screwing with the souce enging and gmod for a few weeks(extremly fun)but i saw this earlyer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFNfqKh4pLU and i was wondering if this is wher i should start seriously making games(it remids me of lbp so i think i would get the hang of it qwickly) because the udk is on steam for free what do you think

i think you should probably have a back-up plan if you're expecting to get your game-developing job soon after high school, well.. you'd better be pretty **** good

If you are passionate about making games, then DO IT. Either find the people who know the things that you don't or learn the other things yourself. I can't code, but I can art. If I wanted to make a game, I'd start by finding a coder and brainstorming ideas with them.

There are thousands of people who go to college to specialize, and still train a couple of years afterwards to get a job which many don't. So getting one right of High School is pretty unlikely, yet not impossible!
