I can't stand to listen to rap anymore...
Archive: 16 posts
Every song has already been done and it's always, ALWAYS the same thing(the theme of the song)! I'm always asking my self if it would be so difficult to rap about something else than women, cars & homies... Trying something new can't be that hard -.-' | 2010-04-25 08:29:00 Author: blizzard_cool Posts: 752 |
Topical song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C99iG4HoO1c) (PS: Since this is website about a game here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfHGidlPeXo) is the Zelda remix of the same track) | 2010-04-25 08:37:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Ever heard of UK rapper/soul singer Plan B? Check out his album "Who Needs Actions When You Got Words?". Powerful stuff, for sure... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dab0RefS2eU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIeQFPGFy9A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isI2SS02vQ8 | 2010-04-25 13:13:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
In my opinion you should try rock. Not the hard stuff like metal because I'm sure you wouldn't like that but something like Skillet is really cool. Rock is about everything, not like rap. | 2010-04-25 14:48:00 Author: Chrree Posts: 554 |

That might be my favorite song of his, but the album I own is "Be". He's so cool. Blizzard_cool: Sorry you think that. A lot of the rap on the radio is trash, but so is the rock and pop. I could give you some recommendations but I have found that the vast majority of people who think like you refuse to see otherwise. Plan B isn't that good, sorry, for some reason I just can't take him as seriously as he takes himself... maybe it's the accent but I dunno. | 2010-04-25 15:13:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |

I like every music. Rock, metal, pop, classic, you name it. But this is a problem I have with rap music. It's just so **** boring :/ | 2010-04-25 17:40:00 Author: blizzard_cool Posts: 752 |

My problem with rap its that 99.9% of it is crap, at least U.S. rap, i haven't heard much of any ither country and sure there's one or two good rap songs out there, but most of it is as far as i've seen thoughtless, senseless, or plain down dumb. Seriously, the original rappers and rap before was great, that i used to like, they actually used to put some effort into it, but nowdays... >_> The problem i think its that unlike most other music genre there's not really any talent requred to rap, no need for a good voice or anything, just come up with rhymes, put a beat and bam, there;s a rap. And like i said, i'm just reffering to U.S. rap, i'm pretty sure there are many more good rappers out there in the orld, i just haven't been able to listen to them. | 2010-04-25 19:22:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Fair enough, though I think you might have appreciated the cultural references a little more if you had been British. My wife is British Indian, and the song Tough Love (about the cultural dichotomy that Asian girls growing up in Western society face) really hit home to her when she heard it. | 2010-04-25 20:09:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
