For this challenge your goal is to destroy a target by firing, launching or throwing at it from a distance. The contraption should consist of two parts:

1. The Artillery Weapon such as a catapult or a cannon. You can make it move or keep it stationary.

2. The Projectile A rock, a bomb, an angry cat - it's up to you!

You'll also need to make a simple target for your Artillery Weapon to destroy. Please ensure that your target is NOT a person! Alternatively you can use one of the collectable targets prvided in the level CC11 - Example by Nuclearfish!

To take part create your Artillery Weapon and put it in a short level to show it off. Then publish it using the prefix 'CC11' in the level title so that we can easily find it.

You've got until Friday 9th May to publish your level.

After the deadline, our judges will shortlist the entries down to just 4!

Then there'll be a poll for everyone to vote for their favourite finalist, and whoever gets the most votes will win a digital copy of LittleBigPlanet on PSP!

How far away does the contraption have to be from the target?
Just make sure it's far enough away to give the projectile some room to fly through the air before it hits the target.

But how will you be able to see the projectile? Won't it go off the screen when I fire it?
It will! So you'll need to either:

a) design your projectiles that Sackboy can hold on or sit inside OR
b) use magic mouth cutscene cameras to change the camera view. We've made a video tutorial which shows you how to do this, watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIoe-Evhmo8&hd=1

Does the contraption have to destroy the target on its first attempt?
No! Use multiple projectiles if you like.

What does the level need to include?
At a minimum: your Artillery Weapon, projectiles and a target some distance away.

We will only judge your contraption, however we like levels with nice visuals, a background, some music and maybe a character explaining what to do. Remember to give the level a description and a level icon when you publish!

How long does the level need to be?
Not too long! Our judges have thousands of levels to judge, so if you're adding a story line be sure to allow the player to skip straight to the contraption.

Where can I get some inspiraton?
If you want to see what others have created to get some ideas, just do a level search for "CC11". There's also an example in the CC11 - Example level by Nuclearfish to show an example, but you can probably do much better! If all that fails, check out www.youtube.com/lbpcontraptions to see the previous entries.

How many contraptions can I make?
This time we're introducing a limit of 3 levels per creator. Make sure you publish each contraption in a seperate level. Understand that if you publish any more than 3 levels, we will not guarantee that all of them will be judged.

Can I edit my level after I've published it?
Yes, feel free to change it as much as you want, as long as you do so before the deadline.

Good luck!
