Hello everyone, I enjoy recycling and such and since 'Green Day' just passed ( the event, [if it is one] and not the band ;D ) I was inspired to make such a level. I have now almost completed this level. I have changed the name and the setting. ( Phalaina's Idea ) I am almost halfway done with my "The Great Flood" level that I wanted to take a break and create a level that is a smaller. | 2010-04-24 08:57:00 Author: TheNerd Posts: 840 |
That's an awesome idea XD! A level like that would not only be fun but have a good message as well. I think you should absolutely go for it ! Hmm... a rainforest might be a good setting. They're very much affected by the environmental problem. Or maybe a very polluted city? Or, since global warming is such a problem, maybe in the Arctic where the ice is melting. It might be cool if you could make it so that the place transforms for the better once you complete the level by recycling and saving endangered species and stuff XD. Limiting the color scheme to green and brown might work... but if you need to use other colors, I think you should feel free to do so. Nature is colorful, afterall ^^. Anyway, good luck. As I said earlier, I think it would make a really cool level . | 2010-04-24 09:23:00 Author: Phalaina Posts: 181 |

If I can't I'll stick with your Arctic idea. Thanks, Phalaina! | 2010-04-24 11:46:00 Author: TheNerd Posts: 840 |
Hidy Ho TheNerd! If you had mentioned this idea to me a little over a year ago, I would have told you that you could never make a fun level out of a concept like this, however, I was tasked with reviewing a level about this very topic on April 3rd of 2009, and I LOVED the level. In fact, I liked it so much that I passed it to Spaff to check out and he told me that he liked it as well. Obviously, levels on PS3 have come a long way since then, but it was a neat concept for a level back then, and it worked very well (it included dodging pollution coming out of cars, trying to start a water wheel (I think.. or it might have been a windmill...), throwing objects in the correct spots (recycling or trash), and activities such as that. Here is a link to my review: http://www.littlebigland.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=588 | 2010-04-24 13:48:00 Author: amazingflyingpoo Posts: 1515 |

Maybe you could include a character or some sort of eco-friendly vehicle to bring you to different places so that you can help the environment in each setting? That might be cool. Though sticking to one place could work as well . It would probably conserve more thermometer space and you could go more in depth with the environmental problems in that are. Either way might work ^^. D: And, AmazingFlyingPoo, that link makes me wish I had a PS3. It looks so cool! | 2010-04-24 14:21:00 Author: Phalaina Posts: 181 |

Such a hassle joining plenty of sites. | 2010-04-26 08:52:00 Author: TheNerd Posts: 840 |
