So, I have a couple of questions, since I can't understand how to do things involving technical wiring without it catching on fire [ True story btw... ] First question - I finally got around to making another PSN ID with a desired screen name [ First one was handed down by father ]. I want to use my old PSN game save data, but I'm at a loss on how to transfer the data, or even if you can transfer the save data from different PSN IDs. I did something with backing up the data, and deleting the original second PSN ID profile. Help my sad and moronic innocently confused case please. Second... request? - I need help with TOTTALY completing the story levels and acing them. I have 96% but there are some I've spent WEEKS on to try and ace. I would love it if somebody could help my complete noobishness ace it. THANK YOU !! You shall receive over 9000 Thousand internetz

firstly, no question is a noobie question secondly, what data? online or story? cuase if its online you cant sadly if its not just go to the save in game/save data, press triangle copy then pick the place to copy it to

I finally got around to making another PSN ID with a desired screen name [ First one was handed down by father ]. Saying it like that makes it sound awesome. "This psn has been in my family for generations. My father handed it down to me just as I will someday hand it down to my son." Heh. As far as savedata goes, I believe that you could stick with the same user on the ps3 (not the psn: just the system login or whatever it's called on the ps3) and your save data would still work with a new psn. You would lose trophies, but why would you really care about those? As for levels you've uploaded: you could lock them and make them copyable, put keys for each of them in a vault level that only you know how to access, get the keys on your new psn, download and republish the levels. You will lose any plays/hearts you've gotten on them, though... might be best to just leave 'em on the old psn. Of course, if your father still uses his login and psn, you wouldn't be able to do any of that stuff I just said.

I tried logging in with the new PSN, but i guess a PSN has to be with the same profile on the PS3 :/ God, Why can't I just change my name Sony? D:

Did you create a "New user" in your PS3? That's very helpful for managing multiple accounts. (Don't ask me how i know, not like i have multiple accounts myself or anything >_>) To do so you go in your main menu (XMB) and select "Create new user" once done "log into that PS3 account (note its unrelated to PSN and only helps differenciate non-online PS3 data like save data and such) The make a new PSN, if you already made it then select "Use existing account" and input your info, and that's pretty much it! Altho you CAN transfer the save data, all trophies and online content cannot. Also by copying your data and placing it in a new account you completly null and void the ability to obtain trophies for the game you transfered the saved data from. Meaning if you copy your LBP data from one account to another, you cannot obtain any trophies, old or new for LBP (in the new account only.) Thought i'd warn you of that. Hope that helps!

because if you could change your name whenever dlc would stuff up, thats it in a nutshell, thats wat sony said but more complicated and it would be hard for your friends to tell who you are
