Cloudy with a Chance of Teamworkcomphermc Your village needs you [and a friend]! Work together to complete these stratospheric obstacles and save the day! http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/6909/icon0b.png Hi friends! I've just finished my first cooperative level, which I had an absolute blast making. It's called 'Cloudy with a Chance of Teamwork.' It's currently locked behind a level of the same name. Due to the nature of cooperative levels and the high level of difficulty of this one in particular, I wanted to ensure that I wouldn't get any low ratings out of frustration of the lack of a partner. That said, if you find yourself gadding with a friend, I'd appreciate the play. It's a puzzler, so be warned. If keys don't work for you, just find a friend who can get in for you. You need two players anyways, right? Anyways, this level is a bit of a departure from the normal cooperative levels, in that it plays very much like a single player level. There is a simple story, which has you 'fighting' your way to a sacred windmill to save your sky village from an impending thunderstorm. At its heart, though, it's a puzzler. Some of the puzzles are easier than others, and I'm sure you'll be stumped at least once. Be warned! I should also note that there are two endings, depending on if you save the day or not... I want to thank Morgana25 (for testing, decorating, and helping with the level badge), rtm223 (for his wheelie logic), mrsupercomputer (for helping come up with puzzle ideas and decorating), Javi_Haguse (for testing), Yarudark (for testing), Holguin86 (for testing), Jwwphotos (for testing), Aya042 (for testing), and many more who may have been roped into playing at some point. Thanks you all! Here are just a few pictures to get the gist of the level. Below that are some pictures from create mode (it's too hard to take pictures by yourself in a coop level!). http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1622/aphoto4.jpg http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/576/aphoto5.jpg http://img697.imageshack.us/img697/7552/aphoto6f.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/1305/aphoto7.jpg http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2252/aphoto8.jpg http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/6712/aphoto9.jpg http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/6502/aphoto10.jpg <---The Windmill! | 2010-04-22 01:36:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Wooh, it;s up! The beta was really fun, creative challenges, great visuals, the whole package! I just have to get a friend to play it with! *runs to PS3* *trips* *gets back up* *trips again* *starts crying* *get back up* run to PS3* ...now I'm tired... The name makes me think of meatballs for some reason. I just can't put my finger on it... (which may just happen to be my terrible hand-eye coordination, but I think there's more.) | 2010-04-22 01:40:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |

I played this with my sister and my dad, haha my dad never played before, and he was obsessed with the paint gun he was going BOOM BOOM!!! and then he'd fall off a cliff... lol We had a ton of trouble figuring out what to do at the cannon part btw, but it was an amazing level... After we played that, we showed my dad some of my levels, and he was like WTF is this? haha because they looked so terrible compared to yours! | 2010-04-22 03:08:00 Author: Shhabbazz Posts: 746 |
Okay dokey, some real feedback now! I loved the art style, it worked very well for the "Island in the Sky" sorta feel. I mean that in a totally impressive-as-James-Cameron type of way. I could tell it was inspired a bit by Avatar, but it wasn't a total rip-off, far from it actually. It felt origina, fresh, and just very well styled. Some levels (Zephyr Valley 2, The Sky Factory, Interstellar Infiltration) just give you this feeling of being immersed of the level. Nothing felt corny, nothing felt rushed, nothing felt overdone. Everything went to the overall enjoyability of the level. The puzzles were actually very well thought out, the main puzzle element, the little thing where you'd push the other player under the obstacle, worked great and never failed me. The part with the first ladder, we actually couldn't figure out what to do. We actually were able to complete it without doing it, albeit with some popping. What we did was my friend got to the cube, I raised it, he took it out and put it on the platform on the left (which is possible, maybe just weight the cube a bit more) got in the cannon, I popped myself, and since I was dead, and he was the only player alive, the cannon read that as require all, so it fired him up to the next island. We figured out how to the ladder by accident, where he was hanging on the little piece of dissolve above the ladder, I jumped down in frustration and caught hold of him. The rest of the level was easy enough to figure out. When the first hint about the ladder appeared, I assumed we were to grab the ladder and swing over My favorite island for visual/awsum effects was the one with the tree, it just looked really amazing with the tree falling and all. My favorite part for gameplay was the island where the platform went under the island, and the other player grabbed a piece of dissolve underneath it. It just was pretty creative and I just loved it for some reason. The ending chase scene was very well thought out, I always felt it wasn't too hard, but it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire way. The franticness of the running, and jumping, and the combination of all the gameplay elements introduced so far really just added up to a very nice chase scene. The two endings worked very well too, it encouraged me to go and play the level again. I liked the idea of letting the player skip all the way to the ending chase, it worked pretty well, but I'm not sure what would happen if you activated a checkpoint before you died. Or were you supposed to die when you put down the sticker? Because we didn't, so we just ran to the right and died. Overall though, I did like the ending, and enjoyed it a lot! Even when I was actively searching for bugs, I couldn't find a single one anywhere. All the possible level holes/bugs/problems have been taken care of, to the point of where I think you might have invented some sort of level checker for bugs, like spell checkers do for grammar errors. I did find the easter egg though, the one where if you die you see the little space man near the gas. After getting my brother to continually jump down there, I was able to get the sticker off. Overall, it's an almost flawless level that was a delight to play, and another addition to my best 2x list of all time, along with Howdy Partners, Industrial Assistance, and that one by ladylyn. I think this one would have been pretty fun to create, as you could have created all the parts seperately, because of the whole floating islands theme. My only gripe was that it felt a tad short, but time flies by when you're having fun, so I think that might have had something to do with it. When I last checked, the key level is on page 4 on cool levels, and the level itself on page 9. :star::star::star::star::star: and a hearty. | 2010-04-22 03:58:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |
Brilliant, absolutely loved the ending. The cannon in the middle of the level got a bit quirky for some reason, but other than that - 5 star/heart. I love the idea of puzzles while running from something coming to kill you. | 2010-04-22 04:05:00 Author: Jagrevi Posts: 1154 |
Thanks, you guys... and 'wow' on the feedback poptart. I will respond to bits of it when I have more time. I'm glad you liked the collapsing tree... that part is the real shady part of the level, as Jagrevi mentioned above, but also for another reason. It's possible to break the level there, but it doesn't really happen unless playing with three people. It's actually possible to "block" the rock when it shoots out of the cannon. I have no idea how to fix that, so I'm praying that nobody does it (I'm banking on the fact that they'd be mesmerized by the whole scene). As for Jagrevi's woes... I really didn't want a mouth to come out and say, "All aboard" so I kind of left it open to be figured out. Any ideas for hints there? For the record, he is referring to the fact that everyone needs to be in the cannon after the tree falls for it to fire. And yeah, that Easter-Egg is a mrsupercomputer cutout. Lol. | 2010-04-22 04:22:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
If I was able to write almost a whole essay only complimenting your level, that's a good thing. It was a very nice level, hope it does well play-wise, it definately deserves it. | 2010-04-22 04:37:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |
I've loved watching this level as it's evolved! It's smart, it's stylish, it's exciting, I can't complain about a thing in it. I have to say your meticulous building methods, logic mastery and thorough commitment to quality and fun never cease to amaze me. It was such a privilege to test it for you too. It's gorgeous. btw - key worked! Guess the key bug has good taste 5 stars and hearted. | 2010-04-22 05:45:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

Told you they'd like it. Whoops! I've fixed that now. | 2010-04-22 12:17:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Whoops! I've fixed that now. No biggie. Anyways. I've already played this level several times during testing, and can't say enough how awesome it is. The final 'chase' sequence is a gameplay masterpiece. Quite possibly your best level to date, and to give it fewer than five stars would be a serious injustice. | 2010-04-22 12:46:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
As Morgana said, it has been an absolute joy to witness the evolution of this level! It's a fantastic co-op puzzler that plays like an epic single player adventure! Well Done! It's possible to break the level there, but it doesn't really happen unless playing with three people. It's actually possible to "block" the rock when it shoots out of the cannon. I have no idea how to fix that, so I'm praying that nobody does it (I'm banking on the fact that they'd be mesmerized by the whole scene). ) What if you emitted a thin layer of gas in front of the cannon for just a few seconds once the rock falls in? Or, you could make the tree timed with the cannon, so once the rock falls it starts a countdown that is timed with the rock hitting it, but if the rock is blocked for some reason, the tree will fall anyway. Doesn't make much sense, but it'd let the players continue the level. | 2010-04-22 14:19:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |

Basically, just before the rock would be launched, I'd sweep an invisible piece of gas over the path of the rock, thereby eliminating any "obstructions." Neato. Thanks for the idea...sorta. ----- As of this morning, there was a grand total of 23 plays! Haha. Nice. | 2010-04-22 14:48:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

This level is brilliant, great x2 gameplay and, really sweet design of the level I played it twice, but I didn't save the village 5 stars (btw I made it from 4 stars to 5 ) and a heart of course for the action and fun | 2010-04-22 15:15:00 Author: Alec Posts: 3871 |
Alec, where did you happen to die when trying to outrun the storm? It's really tough to get a grasp on these things when I know the level so well. Was there some part that was too confusing, or did you guys just happen to fall to your death? | 2010-04-22 15:27:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

comph: Played this with 3 players (cheating a little haha), not sure if this is just a 3 player problem or not but: When the chase started, we all missed the first jump to the second island, died, then infinite deaths on the first checkpoint ensued. Gonna play with 2 players now hopefully. | 2010-04-22 15:47:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Hm... I will have to destroy that checkpoint then. What happens is that the next island checkpoint activates (you get two free checkpoints and then it becomes a one-shot-or-you-get-the-bad-ending scenario). What must have happened is that someone re-activated the checkpoint... Should be an easy fix to just demit the checkpoint. Sorry about that... | 2010-04-22 15:56:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

The part where the tree collapses is amazing! The sections with the ladder was genius! I really liked how you didn't give instructions to the players, telling them exactly what to do. Ok so I played it 2p with gravel, tons of fun! Goes without saying, but nice visuals/music/sounds/etc That chase scene is the most frantic fun I have had on LBP in a long while. So much chaos; "the switch, the switch!" First time we got the bad ending, then used the shortcut and got good ending. We replayed it from the very start, only to stuff up on the final obstacle!! Arh! Why did we switch places why!? Because we were too much in a hurry. I must replay to get perfect game. What material was the rock you used? It had cracks in it or something and looked pretty nice. | 2010-04-22 17:07:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Brilliant level. Lovely scenery and great puzzles to boot I was playing 2 player and the collapsing tree part broke first time I played through. Didn't get the good ending yet though! Will have to go back and do it again! Wasn't my pod but will be giving 5 stars and a heart I'll probably play more critically next time and give some more detailed feedback. | 2010-04-22 17:16:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |
Made it 4# on the score board! Can someone say perfection, cause this is it. I love it. It's great in every way! The puzzles, the secrets, the action, the design. I could smell the brilliance... One problem thou, the very first part of the storm, the first switch. I played it twice and not even once did we come across because the automatic layer change didn't react. (I got the good ending!) Still I rate it infinity out of 5 stars and of course heart it | 2010-04-22 18:00:00 Author: blizzard_cool Posts: 752 |

Basically 1-2 stamps of brown or black gradient, and then intermittently placed crack stickers. I think it looked pretty nice, too. Thanks! Brilliant level. Hm... that tree is proving to be quite the annoyance! I should be home in 3 hours, so after wrapping up and announcing the winners of the switch contest, I shall fix as many of the issues mentioned as possible. One problem thou, the very first part of the storm, the first switch. I played it twice and not even once did we come across because the automatic layer change didn't react. Darnit. I don't know why that's happening. It used to be worse, but I thought I fixed it. I guess I'll have to do a little redesigning there... Also... what did the brilliance smell like? Was it brownies? I played this yesterday with Chuck, Joey, and Morgana, and this was awesome, though it wasn't too puzzling, though that's probably because I was with people who all already knew how this level worked. The end was hectic and awesome. I loved it. Gave it 5 stars. | 2010-04-22 21:06:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
5 stars and a heart to this level. Beautiful visuals and gameplay. My friend and I had a fun time, and the ending was epic. xD | 2010-04-22 22:27:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
I just updated the level with a slew of fixes and changed the level badge. I wasn't happy with it before, and I like it now. Wonderful! Fixes: Planeshifting on the first jump of the chase should be fixed. Checkpoints during the chase are now demitted, so hopefully no more infinite respawn/deaths. It is now much harder to break the 'Tree' puzzle. | 2010-04-22 23:14:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Wow i didn't even realise you had a new level out, loved your most recent one so im looking forward to playing this at the weekend. By looking at the pictures it looks very interesting, cant wait to see how it is! | 2010-04-22 23:19:00 Author: Fenderjt Posts: 1969 |
I never actually got to do the tree glitch... How bad did the level break? Just so you couldn't complete the level, or something more along the lines of a level hole? | 2010-04-22 23:19:00 Author: srgt_poptart Posts: 425 |
Yeah, it was a level breaker. If you managed to block the rock when it was shot at the tree, it would get stuck and the tree wouldn't fall. I think I've patched up all holes, but I can't be certain. I didn't get a chance to test before I had to leave... I'm sure someone will manage to break it, though! ...even though it's only possible with 3 or more players. | 2010-04-22 23:47:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Comphyyyyyyyy! I played it on my own because I'm pretty anti social like that. Awesome awesome awesome. I'm ashamed to say that the 'ladder' part had me stumped for a bit. (Which is terribly embarrassing considering the idea was first posted in my IA2 thread!!!) I thought it was used brilliantly, especially the second one. Just adding it into the middle of a puzzle made it that extra special. Obviously seeing as I played it on my own I got beat by the storm (I got pretty far though!) I found one problem, on the winch pull in = tree break part...the switch that I'm guessing you're supposed to have to pull down to open up the guard for the wheel was already down. Also, because I didn't go up there first, I didn't collect the bubbles and therefore the rock just rested on the bubbles that are in the little cannon alcove. I had to jump in and get the bubbles while the rock was leaning on them to continue. It's beautifully awesome. All the new bits that you have done since I last visited your moon are fantastic. Well done sir! Lots of love! | 2010-04-22 23:54:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
Crap, thanks Jack. I managed to break that... and I'm not even at home... Argh! | 2010-04-22 23:56:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
It's alright, it's nothing level breaking, just means it doesn't work quite as smoothly for now | 2010-04-22 23:57:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
Whew! *catches breath* I rushed home and fixed it! | 2010-04-23 00:03:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I can't wait to play this one. I saw it fairly early on watching jw on the next TF over. It's brilliant! Once I get a partner I'll head over and play it. | 2010-04-23 00:24:00 Author: TheCountessZ Posts: 537 |
W-O-W! All I have to say. Played it about 15 minutes ago and have just about all of it still in my memory (quite an accomplishment, considering I'm a pig). Well anyway, it was just beautiful. It really reminded me of a mrsupercomputer level when I just looked at it, but when I played it, it felt totally comphermc-esque. The gameplay was great and pretty challenging. I like the pacing of the level. It was slow but not put-you-to-sleep slow; just perfect. The chase was absolutely amazing! I never thought running from clouds would be so epic and fun! Just about the best chase I've ever seen. Got the 8th highest score and made it to the happy ending, but I have to say; I was about 3 sackboy feet from death... Well, my memory's fading fast so I've got to wrap it up here. >__> It was a brilliant level that gets :star::star::star::star::star: and a great, well-earned, big, juicy, beating, red, vein-filled, grotesque heart! | 2010-04-23 01:09:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
You're on a roll Comph! Just a total joy to play. Really original 2P stuff going on, and i loved the ladder bit, so glad that technique has got into a level. That'll be the bit that'll get people stumped, its so outside the box. : ) I initially played with three, and it all works surprisingly well, having 3P doesn't defeat most of the the puzzles. We didn't work out the tree bit with three, but somehow i got launched from the cannon, leaving my team-mates behind, going straight over the top of the next island and onto the one after. Dunno what was going on there! No such problems in 2P on that bit. I would comment on the visuals, but to be honest, I was so busy enjoying the puzzles I barely took in any details. All the cannons and collapsing cliffs were perfectly executed though. We didn't manage the scoreboard (yet), but the end section is a riot, great stuff. Really great to see 2P levels coming into their own lately. Will we ever see a 4P only level? Awesome all round!! Only issue was the OMG sticker (smart choice to do this) didn't seem to do anything.....? | 2010-04-23 01:30:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
The 'OMG' sticker just activates a checkpoint. I guess I can gas the whole area too, huh? Edit: lightning now strikes the sign and gas kills off the player. | 2010-04-23 01:35:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Great level but I found 1 problem. Somehow I got inside of a cannon and shot up to the second challenge with a ladder without doing the first challenge that included a ladder. Being shot out of the cannon killed my partner but he came back at the next check point. Sorry that I couldn't give more info on the problem. Besides that this level was mind blowing! Great job! | 2010-04-23 01:44:00 Author: austimerr Posts: 385 |
I didnt know you published this until I played with a friend as keys dont work for me . You done an amazing job with this level. Its has both great gameplay and amazing visuals. I really liked how you managed to have a chase scene at the end which incorporated fast paced puzzle solving and then how you backtracked through the same location towards the scoreboard. Well done again, sadly I cant rate or heart it. | 2010-04-23 03:04:00 Author: SteveBigGuns Posts: 423 |
Thanks, Steve. I'll give it a couple days of mature players before unlocking the actual level. | 2010-04-23 03:13:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
Awesome level.. Still has me staring at times, thinking about bits while not realizing I should actually do something and my partner is waiting on me yet again!! Great work!! Loved all the puzzles as well as some very interesting and inspiring platforming that at times is almost a puzzle in itself. Really classy storm chase sequence. Really liked how it continued the co-op theme and also involved a goal to achieve more points as well as an alternate ending. Ingenious stuff there for sure!! 50 stars and a quite a few warm fuzzy hearts... though unfortunately in LBP rounds down to 5 and a heart. | 2010-04-23 03:58:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
]Only issue was the OMG sticker (smart choice to do this) didn't seem to do anything.....? That's the problem I had. I was standing there for a while while waiting to die, so I ended up just running to the right. Sooo, I'm thinking I should probably get on LBP at some point really.... Part of me is pleased that my little puzzle idea got in there and nobody would ever guess it was me (it doesn't even have any logics in it!! Woop Woop). | 2010-04-23 11:01:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Comphy, is that the part you said was a bit crappy but you had to put in to stop a ninja crying? All makes sense now. | 2010-04-23 11:05:00 Author: jackofcourse Posts: 1494 |
haha. That is pretty much what happened I've actually looked through the thread and a couple of people have mentioned it, so that makes me happy. It really is nothing, just a stupidly simple concept I thought up and comphy stole. He does that a lot you know | 2010-04-23 11:11:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

Never mind about the puzzles and gameplay, the visuals are jaw droppingly beautiful! My eyes fairly popped. I couldn't concentrate on what I was supposed to be doing! Gorgeous level Comphermc, simply gorgeous. Icey | 2010-04-23 11:30:00 Author: IceMaiden Posts: 1057 |

Wow. I finally got around to playing this, and it was awesome! Played it through the first time with 4 players, which was a terrible idea lol. You'd think it'd be easier, but somehow that just wasn't the case... Second time I went through with 2 and that was great fun! Loved the chase at the end! I also really liked the part where you had to pull the two islands together, and the part where you had to smash the tree down. Those were both great ideas! I was playing the short introduction level today and since i had no one joining me i was just standing there watching the brilliant atmosphere with the rain, the lightning... I think you put more effort in this small section than most people invest in their entire levels. Later when I had the chance to play the main level with one of my friends I was not surprised to find the same great quality in design as well as in platforming and puzzles. 5 :star: for that one definitely. Sadly this level is another example that the number of plays and hearts do not reflect the quality of a level. I guess if we want more hearts and plays we gotta start making ?SHARK SURVIVAL 9999?? Thank you for another great experience ? that?s the kind of levels why LittleBigPlanet never gets boring? All the best from Austria EKR-Malo | 2010-04-23 21:30:00 Author: EKR-Malo Posts: 14 |
I played this yesterday, brilliant as always. GAMEPLAY There was some ingenious 2 player gameplay elements in this level, classic and new. Such as the part with the hint that involved the ladder. The chase at the end was a well thought out idea also, it added suspense and made the level a lot more interesting. The very beginning part was a great start to the level gameplay wise, it also brought back a classic 2 player type gameplay element. VISUALS The visuals really contributed to make this level as awesome as possible. The simple use of Cream-wood with the black gradient sticker (and the damage crack stickers) gave the level a simple, yet detailed look. I also like how you transformed the checkpoints. The stormy weather that got worse as you went along was a very good idea. One more thing I'd like to add is the windwill, it looked really nice. STORY The story was simple but still had a great impact on the level's quality. The two possible endings part really made the level interesting. It was also good to see it in a movie type style. In coclusion, this level had style! Keep up the good work CompherMC. :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart. | 2010-04-23 22:04:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

I was playing the short introduction level today and since i had no one joining me i was just standing there watching the brilliant atmosphere with the rain, the lightning... I think you put more effort in this small section than most people invest in their entire levels. Nah, lol. I mostly copied that from the 'bad-ending.' I probably spent no more than an hour making the key room. I spent longer on the level badge! Later when I had the chance to play the main level with one of my friends I was not surprised to find the same great quality in design as well as in platforming and puzzles. 5 :star: for that one definitely. I played this with a friend just awhile ago. We were blown away by the visuals, and the game play was top-notch. There was never a dull moment and we found ourselves laughing through the whole level. We didn't manage to make it the first time...the storm got us. So, we did the sticker so we could play the storm, and made it through almost to the end. We were about to jump over to the scoreboard to end the game, but somehow he and I both managed to fall and die. lol Another good laugh. Thanks for the fun. | 2010-04-24 02:25:00 Author: TheCountessZ Posts: 537 |
Oh god, what an inspiring level. I can't believe you could fit such awesome visuals, AND awesome gameplay and even great logic! Aw, dang. There is now a little bridge to prevent such a thing from happening in the future. Cool! It was actually our fault though. We were acting up, talking, got stupid, and weren't very careful. | 2010-04-24 16:47:00 Author: TheCountessZ Posts: 537 |
I had the chance to play this one with rtm when it wasn't completed, almost 3 weeks ago and it was wonderful, like everyone comphy releases from his deepless hat. The puzzles are very fresh, the overall look is cool and you can feel an eerie sense of "skysickness" during the whole level. I hope I will have the chance to play it again soon when I found someone around. Again, comphy never ceases to amaze me. | 2010-04-24 17:50:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
Well, I finally got around to playing this with my boy this morning. We had a great time. Got the failure ending first (I missed two jumps and the boy just sat there yelling at me to, "Jump! JUMP!!") We laughed pretty hard. But we got it the second (fine! the THIRD) time around. The whole thing is fantastic (all the great bits mentioned already - you know what they are) and the chase scene is crazy exciting. Also... I too could taste your brilliance. It does NOT taste like brownies. It tastes like poo. This is because you have it and I do not. Had it been my brilliance, I have no doubt it would have tasted exACTly like brownies. | 2010-04-24 19:42:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Alright, I have this habit of publishing a level and then immediately move onto the next thing. I've already kind of done that, but I just wanted to make sure that nobody had any niggles with the level. Planeshifting? Confusion? Bad Cameras? Anything...? I really would like to know the nitpicks so I can fix them. Thanks for everyone playing thus far. I appreciate it! | 2010-04-24 22:24:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
No, no nitpicks for me... I think it's perfect! Played it 1 hour ago with Chuck_18mp, and I loved it! Played it. Awesome, 5 Stars and some Love for you (Heart) stunning visuals and the last scene, ive never had so much fun, i had to laugh, because the puzzles were so easy but with that storm behind you, your brain doesnt work you say in your lvl description, your puzzles are hard. everything was quite obvious and i wished it would be more brainbending. but thats just a very small negative aspect | 2010-04-25 17:58:00 Author: TOBSn08 Posts: 143 |

Me 'n' Incinerator22 played this twice yesterday. Good stuff! I lurve the scenery. It's clean, simple, and easy to see where you're going. I like the orange colors you added to let folks know, "Hey! You're supposed to grab this!". Gameplay was fun and unique! Not too hard, not too easy. Good balance. Niiiice puzzle solving! My favorite would have to be the section where one player would grab onto an overhang while the other player kinda slides down the side of the cliff and grabs player one before falling to their dooooom. You hardly ever see anything that involves using another sackperson as a means of swinging. Oh...and who could forget the HIGHLY STRESSFUL (but in a good way xD) ending! Luckily we made it both times...I thought sure I was gonna be the one to kill us both. If I was the one hosting, I would've given it 5 stars and a big, fat heart. I'll get around to it today probably lol. | 2010-04-25 19:08:00 Author: GreyMRP Posts: 588 |
Beautiful level. Awesome ideas. We managed to break it. During the ending part with the cloud chasing you, a little island (I can't tell you which specifically, it had a checkpoint on it though) just kinda fell.. and we were stuck inside the cloud below. Rated 1 star and griefed because we couldn't finish it. PWNED. | 2010-04-25 21:11:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
That is weird. The thing that triggers that checkpoint to fall is the thing that triggers the bad ending. I'm not sure what happened exactly. Was one of you still on the island when it fell? I may have to work something out with that. | 2010-04-25 21:21:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

One this that was messed up is those sliders where one sack gets in the basket and the other sack pushes. If you have 2 players in the basket working simultaniosly of moving it, you can. Me and my friend were able to skip a very hard part in it. | 2010-04-25 21:55:00 Author: Emogotsaone Posts: 1030 |
I already told you your levels great, so im just gonna tell you a part i found that can be done with 1 person. It was in the middle somewhere, a part where you had to pull a lever to lower a platform to get a crate on there to bring it up. You can grab the crate and pull it onto the platform without lowering it. I just thought i should tell you, its not really a big deal. | 2010-04-25 22:00:00 Author: Jrange378 Posts: 573 |
That was great! The chase was really cool, and my Brother and I were stuck on the ladder puzzles for ages! We were able to get past the first one using the method in the post above me. When I finally realised what you had to do on the second one I felt so stupid for not realising before! | 2010-04-25 22:22:00 Author: Otune Posts: 131 |

Went in and fixed the potential issue of falling with the island only to be infinitely respawned into gas. You now get the bad ending! I also made the shortcut gas all layers over the whole area, so no more players having to pop/jump. In addition, I finally got the sounds working correctly in the intro. No more silent lightning. | 2010-04-25 23:47:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

ok.... Finally got a chance to play this. ended up playing with my son, so I got to 8-year-old test it. Great stuff! We had no issues whatsoever, except him treating it as a point competition instead of a coop, which made it infinitely more difficult. Of course, we got clobbered at the last part and got the bad ending, so I need to find a non-8-year-old to play with for the good ending. Suggestion? How about renaming it Zephyr Valley Coop? Right, so I'm actually two people (twins) and we love 2-Player levels. We were really looking forward to this, and we were most definitely not disappointed. The level looks gorgeous, a lot like Zephyr Valley and Up and Away in Skytown. Perfect visuals. The puzzles were fantastic, very innovative, loved the variety. Some really cool ideas here, well done. The only thing that really stumped us for a bit was the human ladder (nice one!) and a moment of panic on the final set of puzzles, but we got on fine and saved the town, and had an absolute blast in the process. But at the end, we saw that despite making no real effort to do so, we were on the leaderboard at number 10. So we thought, what if we properly went for it? And so we went through the level again, and it felt as fresh and just fun as ever. Tried not to die and failed miserably, although we denied it was our fault. The final chase scene really was something to behold; we navigated the puzzles at lightning speed, hearts in our mouths. Everything came together perfectly, but wow was that a tense gaming moment! As we approached the final switch I noticed that we had improved our score. Great, but the storm cloud was gaining on us! We pulled the switch and the maelstrom came to a halt right in front of my sackboy. Only now do I appreciate what an amazingly exciting level this is. We gadded merrily to the scoreboard and were delighted to discover that we had topped the leaderboard. Hurrah! And the thing is, I will be genuinely disappointed when we are knocked off the top spot. I am proud to have scored the highest on your level, something I can't really say for any other level in all of LBP. So thanks Comphermc for such a great experience! =D :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart well deserved. http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii220/blackfalcon_album/APhoto-1.jpg The winning moment! =D http://i.neoseeker.com/mgv/272671-Blackfalcon/671/5/animal0064hb2_display.gif | 2010-04-27 19:36:00 Author: Blackfalcon Posts: 409 |

Played this 4 times at the weekend lol i loved it. Some of the different challenges amazed me! What great ideas. The level flowed well, some 2 player levels are kind of awkward but yours was really well laid out. The whole concept of the level was great, loved the 3D islands in the background too. The ending was exciting and if i failed it made me want to go back and try again! I don't think i would get bored of this level. Btw, after playing "All Mine" - I've directed several people to that level - has to be one of my favorites. CYMBOL, play it with me next time we're on together! I played it with someone else the other day, and the story element of saving the village kicked in, the visuals changed to stormy weather, and the pace of play sped up, and my friend and I were fumbling around before we realized that we weren't able to enjoy the ending that everyone is raving about. But besides not being rewarded with the ending, I felt the level is absolutely ingenious. The puzzle aspect of the level is truly intriguing, and the complexity yet brilliant simplicity (paradox, but once completed your realize the simplicity of everything) really rewards players. Comphermc, I dunno, mate. I enjoyed this level a ton, and while All Mine! and Interstellar Infiltration are pretty incredible, this may top those two levels for me. And that statement alone showcases your ability to continually improve on all qualities with each new level. I'm really tempted to record your levels and showcase you in my LittleBigShowcase series on YouTube...because every level of yours I've played has been fantastic! Well done. Seriously it's grandiose, simply magnifique ! I was greatly impressed by the puzzles you made, I have seldom seen stuff this clever, but the design was also... wow, there's a lot of great ideas, such as the stitched mountain. One the most original thing I've ever seen ! :hero: Sorry, I would usually replay the level to write a longer and better feedback, but it's a bit tricky with multiplayer levels | 2010-05-13 16:47:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
I would like to suggest a reason why there are only three stars. A friend and I have tried to play it twice now, absolutely loved it, but both times we have been unable to finish it because it kicked us out right after the cannon cloud. We would have given it 5 stars, but were unable to do so. At first we thought it was our connections but to end at the same place in both instances is suspicious. Do you have any idea what is going on here? We really want to complete it. If others are having this problem and cannot get to the end to give it 5 stars, will it cause the average to go down? | 2010-05-13 19:12:00 Author: gamegirl Posts: 101 |

Do you have any idea what is going on here? We really want to complete it. If others are having this problem and cannot get to the end to give it 5 stars, will it cause the average to go down? That's strange, we were 4 this afternoon and we had absolutely no problem The only problem was the ending, we didn't manage to save the village and everyone died, mwhuahahaha ! | 2010-05-13 19:50:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
OK, well then it must be our connections. Just curious why it happened both times in the same place. | 2010-05-14 16:32:00 Author: gamegirl Posts: 101 |
The storm that is emitted tends to really tax the system. I can't really do much about it, since a subpar connection will result in problems. And, last time I noticed, it has 4 stars. Thanks for the feedback, though. | 2010-05-14 21:51:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
In our recent weather report, there was an "Cloudy With a Chance of Teamwork" and me and my PSN friend played it together and we had an blast. The co-op obstacles are great and there's a lot of puzzles that had me and my friend kept on guessing until we get it right. We really enjoyed your level even if we failed to stop the stormy cloud. Awesome 2 player level. | 2010-05-15 17:13:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |

Okay, so I am a bit behind the times. I finally got someone to play this with me. I really enjoyed it a lot. My friend and I were doing really well until I got the box stuck at the very end and we both died a horrible death. We failed our town and were cast out forever. Anyway, it was a really good level. Sorry it takes me so long to do things. | 2010-05-30 16:57:00 Author: xkappax Posts: 2569 |

You created this level?! Wow. This is one of my favourite LBP levels of all time; the balance between gameplay and visuals is just perfect, and some of the puzzles are ingenious! It's been a while since I played this level, though I can remember that there was a sticker switch at the beginning which we had no idea how to trigger, any tips? Anyway, hats off to you sir, congrats on a darn fun level | 2010-06-22 19:28:00 Author: Unknown User |

It's been a while since I played this level, though I can remember that there was a sticker switch at the beginning which we had no idea how to trigger, any tips? Anyway, hats off to you sir, congrats on a darn fun level The trigger was to skip the level up to 'The Cloud' if you failed. I played this with my brother and my best friend and it was a blast! My friend doesn't have the game so it was entertaining to see him trying to do the simplest of jumps. Though he fell on the cloud and me and my brother couldn't continue because we went the same path. Hence why I know about the sticker trigger. 5 stars and a heart, Can't wait to play it again when friends come round. | 2010-06-22 19:44:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |
Yep. If you fail in the final bit of the storm chase, you have the option of using the sticker to skip to the end to give it another go. Basically, there are two endings, one more cheerful than the other. You must have gotten the good ending... so congrats! | 2010-06-23 05:05:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |

A master class in co-op play. Stylish, intelligent and above all FUN. Probably the best co-op level published. If I had a hat, it would be off to you sir. | 2010-08-11 13:44:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |

ok. after playing this about 4 times and seeing how my noob cousin just GETS it like ind assistance... and playing jacks, and my own 2x stuff like twin towers, and as many 2x i can find - im pretty sure this is my favorite 2x lvl. zephyr type looks, jack type polish/fun, and compher type innovation. the puzzles and mechanics are perfect and no player is ever doing more or less - the storm race gives me that ccubbage adrenaline. | 2010-08-19 00:00:00 Author: Unknown User |
Great level! its got great visuals, great gameplay, great... everything! | 2010-08-20 19:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
Of the year I've LBP, this is by far my favourite level, second only to your Aperture Science remake. The style's just so pretty and the puzzles are great fun! The Storm was a great addition to it, and I felt great once I had finally cleared it with my friend. It's amazing and definitely worthy of a <3. | 2010-08-20 19:50:00 Author: WilsonLBP Posts: 128 |
