This isnt a major problem but is very annoying. If I'm typing a long thread and then send it out, i need to sign in again and when i do, i have to type again. So i just go back, copy, sign in then paste. Does anybody know why this happens?

Probably because you don't click the "remember me?" box right below the sign in boxes at the top of the page when you sign in. Do you click that box when you sign in? Otherwise, the system automatically logs you out after 20 minutes of inactivity.

Okay, thanks. I thought that it was used to remember your password and user name so that you wouldn't have to type it in.

It's a security measure. If you're using a public computer, then it's a good idea to leave it unchecked in order to keep your account from being hijacked by anyone else who may come across it. If that's not a concern, then yes, make use of the "Remember Me" option so you don't have to constantly verify your identity.

This happens to me all the time. I have different users on the same computer, so I never keep that box checked just in case someone gets nosy and decides to go rambling. *scolds housemates* However, what I've done to keep it from happening is using a word program to type the entry, and then just posting once I'm ready so I don't risk the chance of losing my post. (OMG I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!) Or, right before clicking submit, just copy and paste your post into notepad or osmething like that. Trust me, you don't want a long post to go poof. It's not cute, and neither am I when it happens. Hope that helps! ^^ *rants about past poofness* Grumble, grumble, grumble...

Actually it seems to be signing me out every 20 mins even if i check the "Remember me" box" since the last couple of days.

@Silverleon Well you're on a PS3, right? I sometimes go on on my PS3 cause I'm weird like that, and it does that to me. I think it's because of that latest PS3 update that screwed up the PS3 browser even more ;o
