Is LBP dead?
Archive: 29 posts
It seems that not alot of people are active on LBP. Most the the topics I see here only have like an average of 15 or so replies. | 2010-04-21 20:18:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
really? ... it is the middle of the week. the weekend tends to be a lot busier. | 2010-04-21 20:21:00 Author: trip090 Posts: 1562 |
To be fair, 15 replies is also quite a bit! And have you playing LBP recently? THere's still tonnes of great levels! Trust me - check out the community spotlight for the pick of the bunch | 2010-04-21 20:25:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Dead? Dead because a thread only has a few replies? Hell no, LBP will never die!!!! | 2010-04-21 20:28:00 Author: talbot-trembler Posts: 1114 |
really? ... it is the middle of the week. the weekend tends to be a lot busier. :O That's what I was hoping. @Coxy224: Yes, I do. I've played most of the spotlighted levels already. | 2010-04-21 20:33:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |

Well, we've got over a thousand ACTIVE members here at this site. Plus, isn't this why a sequel is on its way? ;] | 2010-04-21 21:05:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Is LBP dead? No it's not | 2010-04-21 21:07:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |
It's only dead because I'm taking a break. But to the many legions of dedicated Ungrethoholics out there, worry not, for soon I shall humbly and most modestly return to revitalise these withered, barren lands in all my magnificent glory! | 2010-04-21 21:08:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
yeah, a new bomb survival. I believe Shebhnt is referring to the Cool Levels thread (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?81-Cool-Levels) found within the Level Showcase forum here on LBPC. When popular levels in the Showcase receive a large number of replies, they are moved to Cool Levels. As for whether LBP is dead, I think it's far from it! In fact, I believe LBP has more a lot more activity than most games that have been out over a year. | 2010-04-21 21:09:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Alone!!! All alone... so, lone-ly... Say! What's that in the distance? Must... be... a... mirage. Cool Pages without a single ramp, hotel, bomb, shark, real WATER! Kill your buddy, console wars clone... Hallelujah! Thank Goodness LBP's popularity died! For sooo long it was, "Water water everywhere-- and not a drop to drink!" | 2010-04-21 21:23:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
Yeah, I didn't mean cool pages on LBP but the cool pages section on LBPC. Thanks Mr. Supercomputer for posting the link. | 2010-04-21 21:58:00 Author: shebhnt Posts: 414 |

Errrmmm.... no... i'd say a good 20k + Levels are published a day But how many of them are actually played? or beaten for that matter? | 2010-04-21 23:55:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
Over 9000. | 2010-04-22 00:04:00 Author: FreeFlyzz Posts: 265 |
Look, you can't really base the online population of a game entirely on a sigle fansite. Do keep in mind there are hundreads if not even thousands of fansites around the world and each fansite has hundreads of members that own the game. Now what does that tell you? Also, not EVERZYONE goes to forums or is at forums 24/7 How exactly do you expect them to be in-game and on the forums making hundreads of replies to each and every of the hundreads of level threads out there?! And besides, just go into quckplay, or check the cool pages and see how many people are playing each level. Remember that LBP is an international title that its played from here to Mexico, to Canada, to Europe, to Japan! You cannot possibly say a game is dead with hundreads of thousands of people still playing it! GAAAHHH! Well that was a good rant Srry for going extra ranty on you m8, just hadn't had a good rant in a while, had to let it out somewhere | 2010-04-22 00:04:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
lol... what he said about the international stuff... No but seriously, you're saying LBP is dead because you played all the cool levels and that you think only 20 persons are posting in threads here? I don't think its valuable as an argument of a dead game, 'cause it's not even true. now smile, life's a cheese! | 2010-04-22 00:23:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |
I'm always on lbp even on school days HAHA XD | 2010-04-22 00:33:00 Author: puppet88 Posts: 113 |
lbp is still going strong, but i cant say much for the quality of levels, ofcourse theres enouf exelent levels online to keep you bussy. but why aren't these levels on cool pages its aleways flooded with the same generic stuf, im sure its hard to create a system that only rewards the quality levels. a ofcorse bad levels will be ranked bad, but if you go out and creat a intreaging level, and a little kid cant figure it out, he'll still rank u 1 star and go for the nearest bomb survival. picking out all these levels would be one hell of a job, but maybe Mm should asing some sort of game masters who can regulate the cool levels pages somehow. otherwise the cool stuff will forever be burried under rubbish. | 2010-04-24 16:13:00 Author: ptwob Posts: 99 |

As long as people keep making levels, (good or bad), LBP will not die. Period! | 2010-04-25 03:47:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
As long as people keep making levels, (good or bad), LBP will not die. Period! You can also make mediocre, like I do! (No but seriously, Red Eagle 3 will blow your mind! Get hyping, peeps!) | 2010-04-25 09:32:00 Author: Arradi Posts: 183 |
Nay, nay, and even once more nay i say to thee! Listen not to Ranty McRantpants and these yea-sayers! Listen not, say i! LBP is dead! Dead as the dodo, and Dillenger, and Dad's hat band, and dare i say it...yes! i dare! Dead as the old ones locked in their sleep of aeons! But, we! We have the power to revive this great shambling beast! With our dread science and arcane magicks! It is fallen to us to drag this thing screaming into the light of a great new age! So stand upon your mountain top, amidst the lighting and the thunder and whatever cursed contraptions and abominations your black heart can devise (and if all those eat up the thermometer, make a mountain top out of cardboard and post some rock stickers on it). At any rate stand upon that ersatz mountain top and shout "Rise! Rise! RISE!" and cackle with the mad laughter of the errr...there's a D-word i want here, but the board doesn't allow for it. Or...heck...make something keen and pimp the heck out of it...whatever floats your boat.
