The Towers Kazimsnackyp
Traverse the perilous towers to show you are the best in the land.
This is a revised version of the level (I posted it once earlier). I have added some more spawn points. I wanted to make something challenging and yet fun. It is my first level. Let me know how it is.

Greetings Snackyp;

I gave "The Towers Kazim" several good tries, but I'm obviously not young and "twitchy" enough to get very far into the level and give you a good review on it. I got hung up on the first rolling-blue-sponge mounted on a sprung-bolt; used to go from an upper walkway to a lower walkway. My notes, from what I completed:

-- The atmosphere was well set up...Middle Eastern...desert scene..."sandstone" like blocks for construction...glaring sunlight / color filter. The one out-of-place bit was the Oak looking tree (from The Gardens Theme) as you enter the first tower: it was a bit out of place. Is there a more theme-related plant/tree you can use? A Palm Tree or something more related to an oasis in the desert (if that's what this is), or a cactus?

-- Teeny stairs and teeny jumps, with hazards all around can be rather frustrating. Added to that was the *slippery* glass, which makes it more challenging. If this was your intention, then great, but you will only attract the players who truly enjoy long jumps to iddy-biddy landing zones, with instant death on both sides and a slippery surface to navigate too. This level requires serious platforming skills.

-- The score bubbles in the glass maze was actually rather fun, and required a bit of trial and error to figure out where the next jump up (yeah!) or fall (boo!) was. Too much of that would get old quickly, but the little detours for score points were fine.

-- I would recommend putting an Infinite Life check point right after the entrance and the "welcome" mouth. I stopped going back for my glass-maze score bubbles after I had to restart the level a couple of times -- I stopped detouring and just tried to see if I could navigate the main path....at which I obviously fail.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for trying it. I definitely wanted to make something challenging with platforming most people weren't use to. The rolling blue sponge on a sprung bolt, for example, requires you to jump over it and grab it from the other side, then letting go on the upswing. There are several other little tricks to things that i guess i was hoping people would figure out by trying different things. For instance the fire and ice platform is easier to pass if you jump from the rising platform while it is rising. This will launch you into the air. Maybe I should add a mouth that gives tips for various areas...

--I really like your idea of placing a infinite life check at the beginning. Originally I had thought of making all my check points infinite. But a friend had told me he thought I just needed more, and he liked the tension of possibly not making it, so I added more and made them all double check points. The level entrance can be an annoying restart point if you don't make it to the first check point.

--I see what you mean about the tree. All though it is kind of needed there for some reasons. I might dress it up a little, maybe make it look withered and dusty.

--I'm glad you liked the glass maze. That just kind of came out of no where, a random creation.
