LBP doesnt like me 8-(

Glitches, bugs, flaws whatever you like to call them, I always seem to get them in my levels...

Lovely Morning - At some point unable to enter/edit my level with a contest message "Failed to load level" something to do with emitters, fixed by sending the level to some tech guy... I think an update fixes this now though.

King Orca and his evil sandcastle of doom - Seconds from publishing and all motor bolts and pistons are jerky and laggey yet moving around (sackboy) is all fine, chains also refused to work, no lag or jerkyness just nothing would happen, always stuck. Fixed by copying everything to a new level which was annoying because sometimes it wouldn't capture everything.

Attack of the flying donkeys revamp - I've just finished updating/improving this level and for some reason a quarter into playing the level and all the pistons and motor bolts stop working... no lag or jerky this time just no movement, complete halt (chains work fine this time around) and if you backtrack to the start there all stopped is well but in create mode everything is fine... I'm going to have to copy everything into a new level again... see if it solves this mess again (copying the level to a blank space doesn't work)

LBP PSP create mode is more reliable to the PS3 to me

Anyone else experienced stuff like this?

Well.. not sure about the failed to load, but the other two sound horribly familiar. Have you ever heard of the 160 hour bug? It can be avoided.

Bienvenue to the 160 hour bug fanclub, Lordmagicpants!

It has attacked all my levels too, and I also had often the sensation of "Boy, LBP does truly hate me!"
But when you get used to it, it's easily avoidable, altough a bit uncomfortable too sometimes.
About the failed to load, no idea; i've never been sure about how or why does that happen, but i'm absolutely sure there's gotta be athread about it.

PS: The attack of the flying donkeys revamped? I gotta see that one immediately!

I heard about some 160 hour bug but thought it was to with something else... didn't know it was that bad, looks like I'll have to try creating in pause mode?

I got it working now, I've just changed everything with a speed of 0.5 to 0.6... but I had to do the same with the Orca king level... but luckily no jerky pistons or chains, think I'll leave it as it is for now.

Yup.. pause mode is your friend and always rewind if you do play. That thread I shared has a ton of great info as well as a few different ways to avoid the issue in future levels.

Keep in mind though... showing it now means you are horribly close. You also have to include level play time in this equation. In other words, if the level takes quite awhile to play, you could see other stuff either stop or have juddery movements that was otherwise fine when you first popped into the level.

Good luck!
