Sound Recorder

I had an idea about a switch that records ingame sounds. It's a circle that looks like the mesh bit of a microphone with a metal border around it. There's also one for music which just looks like a blank music box and loops automatically. How it works: Sound recorder: You set the recording time(up to 1 min). It's activated by switch. After it's finished recording, it saves the sound on it. You can set if you want it to loop or if you want to change the volume. If you want to re-record your sound select an option called "record again" and then it deletes the current sound on it so you can record another one. The music loops automatically and works exactly the same way as a regular music box. And you should be able to use it in a music box object so that you can use it as music in your level. Not just a sound object you pass by. | 2010-04-19 11:56:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |

Absolutely. I'd hire a music guy for my levels. | 2010-04-19 14:29:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |
Hastily added a music recorder. Just works same way as a regular music box. | 2010-04-19 14:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
How many times have custom recorded sounds or music been requested now? I'll just say the same old crap- 1) COPYRIGHTS 2) I'm not waiting longer for levels to load for music I probably don't want to hear. | 2010-04-19 15:13:00 Author: FuzzballFox Posts: 217 |
I think there's some misunderstanding here. What I mean is you should be able to record your own in-game music levels / setups and then use that sound object or music box in your level. I never meant to actually use a real microphone to record something from your computer or whatever. Surely this should be possible. Let sackboy carry a little soundrecorder that tapes surrounding sounds. | 2010-04-19 16:00:00 Author: BasketSnake Posts: 2391 |

So basically you could record your music level then use it as ingame music. Or you could record the sound of a guitar riff and use it as a regular sound object. No microphones involved. Good idea I will admit I have thought about it. How would you police it? What is to stop the creators/miscriants from swearing and saying innapropriate stuff? You can only moderate so many levels For that reason and the fact it is meant to be a 7+ I doubt they will make this a DLC | 2010-04-26 22:30:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |
I dislike it when people talk about copyright issues with importing pictures/sound. There's already PlaystationEye support and, yeah, people break copyrights and are moderated. They're warned, learn their lesson, and move on. Swearing too. Headsets are even harder to moderate, and there aren't many "sailors" online. | 2010-04-30 07:53:00 Author: KablooieKablam Posts: 364 |

Like a stone falling and hitting, or an explosion? Recording YOU wouldn't be right, it would just be awkward. Anyways, nice idea, I like. | 2010-04-30 15:22:00 Author: DaSackBoy Posts: 606 |

INGAME. I NEVER EVER said to record through the microphone. Please, read the actual topic D: sorry if that sounded harsh D: I was talking sort of off-topic, sorry. I understand you idea; I was addressing the people who don't. | 2010-05-04 07:07:00 Author: KablooieKablam Posts: 364 |
