Hi, I love LBP, I discovered the logic packs in LBP, then I found the thermo-saving-thread via google, here at lbpc, then these great logic-blogs After reading about the new competition, i was ready to sign in. Though this is actually my second subscription to a forum-centered group ever :-) I don't have to tell you why I love LBP.... Well, creating a decent level takes forever and fiddeling with all those little bugs and work-arounds is the time consuming part (I'll never try to change size-settings of pistons in un-pause again) But that's where a community that communicates( beyond LOL!!) comes in great. Reading about "severeal thermos" for the first time was like "Yeah, that fits totally, but I would have never caught that by myself"

My last level (and second in general) was Lumines (LittleBig Lumines to be exact) and as you can imagine, I ran into some serious thermo issues. But it works quite smooth now, (even though the grid is only one quater the size it actually should be) and what I learnd here might lead to a redesign. I'm curious about wexfordian's (?) helicopter interface, it could replace the "drag-the-blocks-with-Sackperson"-interface. But the next thing i'll concentrate on is a level based upon that short movie "Android 207" - I wanna play with athmosphere and everything, and Lumines is kinda limited in that way. But that movie gives a nice frame to tag along while leaving enough space for (pointless) platform action and creative freedom (having an idea about 3 endings...) Oh and of course, I will download that template for the contest, le'ts see if I get an idea for that... but no rush.

Ouch, looks like that needed to come out - sorry for the long post. C ya, here or @LBP. PS: Aren't you sometimes buffed, how a level, you find utterly boring in every aspect, gains hundred hearts in an hour in front of your eyes !?! PPS: I spend an extra "L" for the thread's title. It's not like I haven't written that word often enough...

...and especially on theirs (is that right?), who greeted me here, I know. Well, sure, but that actually hasn't been the kind answer I was hoping for. Where is the most efficient? I know now user who haven't posted here before, notice. Accident? Are YOU volunteering for answering a ton of questions I may have about LBPC? Or should I use a help thread? Which one? Thanx anyway

Ok, here we go:
Who runs LBPC? Like, who owns it?
How is it ...ye know...paid...financed?
Is LBPC in a nutshell a forum (for LBP) with some blogs, articles, tutorials and Logic Packs as also-rans?
How do I strike words [s] doesn't work, ok, [strike] doesn't, got it.
Is "level showcase" the appropiate place to ... describe and write about my levels, though not yet "presenting" or as serious as F4F but with the possibility for feedback?
Could ...let's say...I... for example just open a blog here? Should it be (if at all) revolving around LBP andor LBPC? Or is any topic fine?
Now comes a bunch: This green dot under my avatar pic where others may have more green dots, that has something to do with "reputation", right? By these "Thanks buttons", is there something else that matters? I saw one user having a red dot, that's not good, right? How is that "achieved"? Is there a scale that translates how rep points translate to green (or red) dots? And what's the reason for it? Is it just quick visual grading for the seriousness (is that a word?) of the user? Or am I missing the point?
That nickname above the pic changes over time (Mine is currently "patch of cloth") but some users' "description" looks self-made. How?
To me it seems, troll infection and sock puppet theatre at LBPC are minimal. Would you agree?
This is actually a question regarding LBP GOTY edition: Since we don't have it in europe and may never get it, I'm not sure if I want the US version (dlc will be problematic) since I'm generally quite contempt with my regular edition and I don't really know what unique (if any) content GOTY has. Got any hint or a link?

Here's some answers:
1. Our admin goes by the name of lbp, but he isn't as active anymore, so we have a new admin, ConfusedCartman.
5. yes
6. yes, any topic is fine
7. they are rep points, each thanks gives two rep points to the receiver, every one hundred rep points gives you an extra bar. As for red bars, they are obtained through negative rep, but that has been removed from the site due to its abuse.
8. You must either get a certain bundle (which is now not available due to the lack of the Shop option anymore) or earn enough reputation to get an automatic profile upgrade.
Sorry I couldn't answer all of them.

@JspOt: Wow, that was quick! Please don't be mad at me, for taking some time before reacting ;-) First of all thanks for even partially answering. For you or any other helpful bypasser, I update the question chart for chleared or successive questions, so that you only have to check my last post.

And admin translates as owner? What I thought what admins were, are called moderators, right?
How is LBPC financed?
LBPC in a nutshell?

almost done, Two points per thank can't be right or all that there is to this, it doesn't fit my numbers, do you now more? Are the Rep dots just a quick visual grading for the seriousness (is that a word?) of the user? Or am I missing the point?
Almost done. Profile Upgrade = how many rep points? Not that I'm aiming for it, just checking.

Well, almost half of it cleared. Good start, thx again. I gonna check my bed soon, and since my weekend is cramped, It might take as long as monday, till I check in again with time for answering (My green "I'm here light" does not show if I have time of the mood to answer and check everything, but I will (always) eventually.) So, ciao for now.

1. Admin stands for our administrator, ConfusedCartman, he makes sure that the site is kept up while the moderators (Mods for short) make sure everyone behaves and that everyone stays a happy gadder while going through the forums.
2. ConfusedCartman has to pay to keep the site up but there are some kind and generous people who also donate to the site, which helps CC when it comes to financing the site.
3. A gathering of many fun and creative people who like to share thier ideas with the world and play levels on LBP. Play, Create. Share!
7. Um, sorry, I don't really understand what you mean.
8. I'm not really sure about the rep points as I'm also new to the forums too, I'm sure another happy gadder will be able to help you on this.
9. Yes indeed! At that's something that certainly attracted me to this site. Other sites like GameFaqs and LittleBigWorkshop can get a little out of hand at times.
10. Well, you get a few DLC packs and it also includes a pick of levels that MM have taken from the community to spotlight the possibilities that LBP has. But no, there is no content that you can't get otherwise from the PlayStation Store or the community.

Hope this has cleared some more up for ya!
Scoot around all the different forums and I'm sure that you'll find loads of new friends.
Have fun!

@wilson: Great, almost done, thank you a lot as well. Here is the question update:

Done
Done
Actually, that was a more specific question like: Would you agree on this phrasing: "LBPC in a nutshell is a forum (for LBP) with some blogs, articles, tutorials and Logic Packs as also-rans?" Or am I missing its "heart" or are blogs more central, more important then all the threads or something?
Done
Done
Done
Rep points: How and how many do you get (them)? Only by received "Thank-buttons"? And what's the reason for seeing them on profiles, represented as line of green dots? Is it just quick visual confirmation for the seriousness (if that's a word) of the user? Or am I missing the point?
Done (not actually, but that upgrade-thingy won't matter to me anyway for at least several years, it'll be ok
Done
GOTY edition: Almost done: I presume, someone has those community levels as hearted ones? Who? Or does here someone know which those community levels are? How many levels are we talking about?

So, three more to go. You're awesome guys (and girls, but it was yet only guys answering)
