I'm making a beach level, I've made a small boat so far but I don't know how to start it up? Is their tools I have to buy online for it?

Get a switch and connect to a rocket.

To go slightly in more detail....you can put a grab switch on a piece of sponge or some similar type of material (on the boat) and put a rocket on your boat under the water. Then connect the grab switch to the rocket. When the grab switch is turned on, the rocket will activate and the boat will move.

Depending on exactly how you want the boat to move you can also create the illusion that it is moving on it's own by attaching a winch or piston to it and setting them to retract when you pull the switch.
