Quick Question Can anyone think of a good story for a castle themed level (that contains a dragon) I want it to be original not just save the princess Thanks for the Help | 2010-04-18 17:00:00 Author: mr.cool Posts: 18 |
It all starts with a young sackboy, that wanted to be a knight One day a huge, fire spiting, green dragon comes to destroy littleBigcastle Now it's time for sackboy to shine... and the rest will probably be some awesome gameplay That's all I got for an story right now | 2010-04-18 17:04:00 Author: Alec Posts: 3871 |
Not really thought much about this but maybe something based on bbc's Merlin tv programmes could be good, of course there's always the classic Camelot. Or maybe have sackboy/girl start in a prison cell in the castle dungeon & have them escape to the castle to find it being attacked by a dragon turning sacky from villain to hero. Of course maybe explain/show why your in prison beforehand. Thats just something off the top of my head if I think of anything else I'll post again. | 2010-04-18 18:13:00 Author: Unknown User |
A gem of unimaginable power resides in the castle. Your rival wants the gem for himself and will use it to take over the world. You, on the other hand, want to destroy the gem because no one should have that amount of power. As you continue through the castle, surviving the various traps, your rival will occasionally appear to try to slow you down. Once you reach the gem, it is guarded by the dragon. Once you defeat the dragon, your rival grabs the gem. Now you must fight him and get him to drop the gem. Once the gem shatters, your rival runs off and the level ends. Hope this gives you some ideas. | 2010-04-18 19:12:00 Author: Silverpanther Posts: 156 |
Well you could have the player be a young sack person that is a page to a great knight. But when the dragon defeats the knight, it is the sack boy who saves the day. Also I would suggest taking a look at my latest blog post about story. You can read it here. Ever thought to have a dragon friend? No? You're an outcast among the kingdom, hoping to find fame. Then a dragon comes to attack the castle! You try to join the heat of battle, but you are knocked out. You awaken to see yourself in the forest beside the dragon, who has saved your life! Seeing signs for an even more powerful dragon to wreck havoc among the royal family and your home, you and your trusty new fire- breathing friend must save the kingdom! I've got another one, but... I'm going to use the it later... | 2010-04-19 00:59:00 Author: JspOt Posts: 3607 |
Gonna go for something similar to Jspot here: Once upon a time the humble people of the kingdom lived in harmony with the dragons and worked together to cultivate their land and make it a prosperous place to live. But one day a new queen ascended the throne. Mad with power, she was told by her court seer that in the future it would be a dragon who would lead to her downfall. Thus, she deemed that all dragons be hunted down and began a reign of terror across the kingdom. With everyone else in the grip of fear it is up to you and a dragon ally to storm the castle and bring an end to the queen's reign. | 2010-04-20 17:40:00 Author: Dapiek Absaroka Posts: 512 |
It would be nice if the dragon was a friend, for a change. The princess feels kind of hungry, but she is not hungry for all the normal luxury. She wants dragon flesh, something that has not been tasted in centuries. therefore she sends her beloved knight, Sir Lintman (you can change the name), to go and catch a dragon for her. He encounters a dragon which is owned by a normal sack (you), and he kidnaps the dragon. The sack is determined to get his friend back and follows Lintman to the castle. Then all he has got to do is to save the dragon. Ending is yours to find out. | 2010-04-20 20:42:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
Thanks to all of you but sadly the dragon won't be on your side because the dragon boss battle is what inspired me. So if your writing a possible story please take note that the dragon IS evil, very evil! | 2010-04-21 00:39:00 Author: mr.cool Posts: 18 |
I've been working on "Dragon Slayer" for quite some time, so I'll just tell you the story of MY level. Use it freely if you want to. In Dragon Slayer you have to hunt down the last remaining male dragon. In order to do this, You have to travel to the dragon's lair throught a marsh. In the marsh, you encounter a swamp monster (end of part 1) When you get into the dragon's lair, you have to chase the dragon for some time, until you can fight it. After killing the dragon, the lair will collapse. You have to get out of there back to the marsh. (end of part 2) After getting throught the marsh, and getting back to your 'choppa' The dragon will re-appear in a skeletal form and tries to bring your helicopter down. After killing the dragon again, the level series ends. | 2010-04-22 09:48:00 Author: Chamion B Posts: 124 |
You are Sir Sack, King of Sacks. You're to journey to find the Holy Grail. Along the way you create your Sack of the round table with Sacks you deem fit. Along the way you come along a demon bunny, it kills all. Do something along the lines of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I would play a level with that killer bunny so many times. | 2010-04-22 18:13:00 Author: Keyeszx Posts: 65 |
