I'm talking about pictures in a sig. I think they should be allowed to be larger. My sig isn't very big, it's only 430x200 pixels, yet it shrunk, and I honestly don't think that 430x200 is a ridiculous size or anything.

I just noticed that my sig has shrunk as well. I saw Leather-Monkey's new title wording "Ma sig gone small" and I realised mine had too. Is this going to be permanent or is there just a temporary problem?

It's not a problem - it's a restriction. They are now able to enforce the smaller sizes on external images so people can't just go around with sigs twice the size of their post. Simples! *meerkat squeak*

I need to actually sit down and make a decent avatar and sig. Anyhoo, it can be a good thing that sigs are smaller for people with slower internet connections. It takes longer if there's a bunch of big pictures everywhere. Doesn't matter to me, but to some I'm sure it does. *shrug*

Yep. We were pretty lenient with the signature size before (due to the fact that they were not uploaded onto the servers, and instead hosted elsewhere). But, we noticed that some people were taking it to the extreme and posting sigs that were 2, 3, 4 times the size of what we technically allow. Rather than have to fuss with asking each person to use a smaller signature (messages which those users ignored), we found a way to enforce the size limit. Sorry guys, that's just how it goes. Mine is smaller, too.

I have nothing against the limit, sigs that are 5 inches tall are just ugly, but I don't think there's anything excessive about my sig, or most shrunken sigs for that matter.

Well I was actually expecting mine to shrink before they started shrinking as I made mine pretty big. So I'm glad that they have shrunk, it means I don't have to fix it up Although I kinda want it longer and better, but I'll get to that later.
