I've heard of updating a level, how is this done?

Well when someone updates a level they usually edit it to make it better, or even remake it entirely to be up to todays standards of creating. But essentially its just making a level.

Do you mean updating as in one that you have already published? Simply make your changes to the one on your moon, then publish over the top of the current one out on the planet. Your hearts and plays will remain, and the updated level will then be out there for all to play.
