MASTER is a challenging level. So be sure to bring your "A" game. The level starts with some Swinging/Grab elements (Try going for the bonus at the begining by keeping the lights activated, Grabbing each spot more than once will kill the bonus), and quickly turns to a water level. Once in the Water your swimming skills will be put to the test. Different sections test different swimming skills. After designing this level my swim skills increased significantly, thus the name MASTER as i feel this level will truely make you master your swim skills. That is if you wish to get out with a high score.
Setting a high Score in this level will be an acomplishment. There are many points to be had, yet going for the big points puts your sackboy/girl in much greater danger than simply going for the finish line. Sorry i dont have much time to play lately so F4F not available. But i appreciatie any feed back you have. And if you think your stuck try grabbing something. Good Luck

Oh, nice! It's out. I'll check out the final tonight. This is a REALLY unique level.

EDIT: This level is DEFINATELY a hard-core swim experience - unlike anything I've seen before. For anyone who wants a unique and hard experience, this is it!

I gotta tell you, though - I couldn't make it through. It's not that it's cheap or poorly designed. I just lack the swimming skill. Also, I'm not sure many players will get the point of grabbing the hex shapes to move to new sections. Also, the point bubbles being electrified makes you think at first they will kill you (they don't look like point bubbles) - so players may approach them with apprehension.

But if you work at it for a bit, this level definately pays you back with some nifty mechanics.

You weren't kidding when you said this was hard; you might as well have named it "I Wanna Be The Guy: Water and Electricity Edition."

I know it's supposed to be a challenge, but CCubbage is right in that everything underwater looks like a hazard, and what isn't should be more distinguished. Also, you might want to change how the camera is oriented at points as certain angles make it difficult to see exactly how your supposed to proceed, making for more "Trial and Error" gameplay then challenges.

Thanks for giving it a play everyone who tried it.

I think when i get a chance i will go in and de-electrify the point bubbles and see how that looks (i can see what you and cubbage mean with that looking as a dangourous instead of points.). if you could be a little more specific on what area you thought could use special camera areas that would be helpful too.

Well, when you're in the water past the rotating "X"s the camera eventually set at a slightly downward angle somewhere past the checkpoint. This makes it harder to see which gaps in the electrified spheres you can actually fit through. I'm thinking a closer, more frontal camera angle would be appropriate, but I'm not sure.2010-04-20 20:50:00

Hmm after you swim through rotating X's and past the checkpoint. You then swim down through the corridor made by electric bombs moveing back and forth. You dont need to swim inbetween any of these. but just go down to where it opens up more. Then you see the 3 hexagon things in the middle layer behind you. These are grabable and will take you to a new section. The two upper one bring you to the left and right. After beating these two sections the bottom one starts glowing and will bring you to a new are with two more sections that need to be beat.

There are no special camera angles at the part you mentioned just the standard camera. I wonder if you got down to the three hexagon shapes sitting in the middle layer behind you? Becuase you said:

This makes it harder to see which gaps in the electrified spheres you can actually fit through.

So i wonder if at that point you where trying to get to the other sections by trying to swim through the bombs instead of using the grabbable hexagons that pull you underneath the bombs to the next sections. Here i have seen people testing get confused at this point and couldnt think of any way to make it more obvious to grab the hexagons. Since they are in a different layer people are not used to grabbing things in another layer, so it sort of became an unintentional puzzle.

if you did get to the hexagons that you grab onto maybe i missunderstood at which part you are talking about.

Oh, and i de-electrified the point bubbles so they dont look dangerous anymore

Ah so you finnaly published it?

Ah Dave, you and your psychedelic killer levels, been a while since i haven't had a good level (challenge-wise) other than Bridget's.

Well, i'll give it a try again and see if i can pass it on my own this time around.

Oh and its your fault. -_-

I played this to the best of my ability.
It needs clearer direction.
I got down the bottom (checkpoint, with hexagon below and to the sides). The gap to the top left is passasble and with the point bubbles I thought that was where you had to go. After -many- attempts, only by chance did I grab the left un-electrified hexagon. You need grab switch on these or something because it looks like metal.
Camera angle on the left bottom section makes it really hard to judge how close you are to the hazards. Gave up on that one.
Went to the right. It's hard enough getting through the entrance, but imagine my surprise when I finally pass the 2 moving hexagons? More hexagons! I gave up this path when I died on the fourth one and could get back to that point because it was too hard.
I don't think anyone will be game enough to go for the solo point bubbles that are placed in even more difficult sections, as the main path is hard enough.

EDIT: Some of the grabbable hexagons kill you if you get too close, and point bubbles are inpossible to get (on left wall) without running out of air (unless I missed a air source (after beating left path))
Also, WHY is there a checkpoint after the left path? I activate it, then I have to go backwards though the left path to get back to the opening for the right one!? Arh.

After many deaths players get impatient and play faster. You crucify them for that in this level.
For example that checkpoint, you hold right and X when respawning and you die.
It seems pressing/holding X (to swim faster) doesn't really help in the bottom sections.

I think it's just unclear direction that hurts this level.
The "grab" metal (looks like poly) with no visual hint, moving hexagons look the same as still ones (even worse when the piston has a pause at each end), gaps between some bombs are passable while other gaps are not.
Because this is all about pricise actions in small gaps, if a gap looks possible to get through, it should be.

Will be interesting to read what others think of this level.
