does material change its properties when dangerous?

I was wondering if you could make desolve material dangerous, preferably fire and keep bits ability to desolve. e.g. My latest lvl was going to have a fire extinguisher. | 2010-04-15 07:42:00 Author: trianglepigsquar Posts: 144 |
Hi trianglepigsquar You can make disappear any type of material, just connect it to a brain with a string for example and then make that some dangerous object destroys the brain | 2010-04-15 08:21:00 Author: memorex Posts: 91 |
thanks memorex, thats a good idea. I might use it but I was planning on using a key switch rather than the fire extinguisher shooting out some sort of electric white material. triangle pig squar | 2010-04-15 08:44:00 Author: trianglepigsquar Posts: 144 |
As far as I know (I don't have my PSP on me to check, but it doesn't require much effort to experiment) fire material does retain its original properties. I'm fairly certain I've experimented with flaming peach floaty, and I assume it will dissolve as well. Poisonous gas will dissolve as well unless you use the material change trick to change its colour. | 2010-04-15 09:01:00 Author: SalieriAAX Posts: 421 |
Thanks saleri I was asking becuse the section of the level will take a while to build. Yay, I can do my mini-puzzle-thing-thats-not-realy-a-puzzle! trianglepigsquar | 2010-04-15 16:42:00 Author: trianglepigsquar Posts: 144 |
yes it does even gas or electric | 2010-04-15 18:03:00 Author: carlosgrss Posts: 41 |
Actually, gas prevents any 'floaty' properties from working. Bah. I don't think you can make gas dynamic either. | 2010-04-26 13:14:00 Author: Bovrillor Posts: 309 |
Alternatively to making a creature brain attached to your materials, you can also set up an emitter to emit only one of your object at a time, then when you want it to disappear, make it emit again. This will make your first object disappear, and reappear somewhere else out of the way instead. This method is especially handy if you don't want the little noise associated with creature brain destruction. | 2010-04-27 19:17:00 Author: xero Posts: 2419 |
