Hey guys The penultimate level in the series is now online, hope you play and enjoy it. Any suggestions/feedback/comments appreciated as always. I had a lot of fun making this one, its a total kitchen sink job, lol. Thanks to everyone who commented/PM'ed in the bug test thread, justinart, killzonequinn, jww, Arctos13,X-FROGBOY-X, and Powershifter. MrSC, comphy, Poms , Ccubbage, basketsnake, Cesar72 and hiphopliveson all popped by online and gave me suggestions and help too, thanks guys. A special thanks to dog-egg who made the AT-STs. oOOOOooooo This is out for real now!? Most cool! Congrats! I will give it a try later and report back. | 2010-04-13 00:43:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
I really liked this level, and I'm probably going to play this again so I can heart it, and give more detailed feedback. | 2010-04-13 00:50:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |
I played the beta version of this level [I'm also the first one to send a comment] and it is simply fun. Now that you have the final version of the latest installment of your Star Wars levels, I'll check it out. If I remember correctly of what I put in the comments of the beta version of this level, the Stormtroopers swinging on the logs could have been a bit easier and a tree the giant R2-D2 destroyed blocked the entrance to the port where it leads to the end. May the force be with you two Julesyjules. Hope it's as successful as your other STAR WARS levels. | 2010-04-13 01:01:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |

Sorry justin, I must have missed your post when i went back to look, added you to the OP. I pretty much tweaked all & everything that was commented on, so thanks again for your feedback! | 2010-04-13 01:06:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Didn't I pop in online also? Anyhoo.... I'll check it out right now. I've been looking forward to the release of this! | 2010-04-13 01:15:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
Oh! I saw you published this but figured it was locked... Anyway, can't wait to play it. Always a pleasure! | 2010-04-13 01:21:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Aargh. Yes Cub, I've added you, sorry! (*dies of embarrassment*) | 2010-04-13 01:21:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Nooo.... don't die! Need you for the next installment... . Besides, I was a REALLY important test... how the level performed under extreme lag. So, played the final. Wow - I can appreciate this one SO much more playing in single player without the lag. Brilliant! I love the frenetic pace of this one - the way you kept up the gameplay pace throughout really created a hectic feel - in line with the story. I also think replacing the walker with R2D2 was a great change - you were able to kick the speed up while keeping it working consistently - as well as it added a pretty big humor element. This is DEFINATELY my kind of level, and I'll be visiting it many times. 5 stars, a heart, and a "hectic" tag! | 2010-04-13 02:00:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |
I haven't played this yet, but knowing the other levels, I'm sure it'll be awesome! I'll give it a try next time I'm on LBP! | 2010-04-13 02:29:00 Author: Phosphorus15 Posts: 463 |
just finished it...loved how you threw us in the action immediately and it never stopped either the humour was well done as well...and the machines looked pretty cool...and the R2 part was just epic can't wait to see how you plan on ending all of this as opposed to how the real movie did it | 2010-04-13 03:07:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Another great level. I love your julesy brand of humor throughout the series. This had just the right amount of challenge, and I appreciate how you incorporate new contraptions into each level. I also noticed you placed just the right amount darkness to the story this time...especially considering what happened to one of the ewoks. Again, great work, 5 stars and hearted. | 2010-04-13 03:44:00 Author: TheCountessZ Posts: 537 |
The force is strong with this level. I just played the final version of this level and it's much better than the beta version. You have once again succeeded with great challenge, hilarious jokes, and plenty of crazy moments involving Stormtroopers and Ewoks. I enjoyed the same level scenery you had in the previous STAR WARS level and the giant R2-D2 ride is a blast [Your version of R2-D2 always cracked me up]. A great level you made [Yoda accent]. I had foreseen with Jedi powers that your next chapter is going to be epic because we'll be seeing a great boss battle against Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine once you finished that level. | 2010-04-13 05:25:00 Author: JustinArt Posts: 1314 |
As soon as I see anything to do with Star Wars, I have to play it. And from the screen shots, it looks quite good. | 2010-04-13 07:29:00 Author: MicGorbachev Posts: 372 |

Thanks Cub, yeh, I don't normally get lag in my stuff, i think its cos there's so many moving parts in this one, but i did my best to minimize it. Its definitely a smoother experience in single play. Im so glad you gave it the 'hectic' tag, exactly the feeling i was going for! just finished it...loved how you threw us in the action immediately and it never stopped either the humour was well done as well...and the machines looked pretty cool...and the R2 part was just epic can't wait to see how you plan on ending all of this as opposed to how the real movie did it Thanks Shadow, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks Countess, I think this one has the fewest jokes out of all them actually, but the level is so visually goofy it didn't feel like it wanted them as much. In the films, this act is where the trilogy starts veering into slapstick, so thats what i tried to incorporate a bit. The force is strong with this level. This is, without a doubt, my favorite series in Little Big Planet. You have consistently raised the bar with each new entry and the trend continues here. This level is outstanding! You've created a perfect balance of gameplay, visuals, and humor. The obstacles and challenges melded into the environment seamlessly and like Shadowcrazy, I am also impressed with how action packed the whole thing is! Never a dull moment! I especially liked the area where you have to jump back and forth, from tree to tree, shooting the AT-ST while dodging the bombs. And like CCubbage, I also loved the change from the AT-ST to R2D2 at the end. It was hilarious and a nice little surprise for those of us who had already played the earlier version of the level. As for criticisms, I don't have many, although I will say that I found a few areas to be very tricky. The spiked swinging logs and the rolling logs come to mind immediately. It seemed as if they required perfect timing, no room for error. This didn't really bother me though and I liked the challenge, but I thought I'd let you know in case you are worried about difficult at all. Other than that, I have nothing but love for this level. It's brilliant! Great job! | 2010-04-13 14:51:00 Author: mrsupercomputer Posts: 1335 |
Fun, Fun, FUN!! Loved it. Silly, challenging, all around awesome. Yep - favorite series of mine too. Congratulation on leaving the dolls head forest behind (I know exactly how this feels) and I can't wait for the big show down! | 2010-04-13 16:44:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |

Hey Jules! You finally published! Ok, I played the final version today, and as I told you when testing, the level is awesome. I specially like the forest setting, the many variations of tree trunk game play, enemies are very well made? etc. If I had to be a bit strict, I could tell as a negative point I experienced a few ?free kills? when jumping up on the trees. The one I remember is when the two enemies swing on a trunk and totally unexpectedly, they kill you. At least the first time xD Well? I don't know if this is a negative point because if no one got killed, we?d be here telling you that the level?s too easy Great job again! Of course 5 :star::star::star::star::star: and Hearted! | 2010-04-13 17:26:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |
This level rocks! I played it again, the visuals, gameplay, humor, and story were very well balanced among themselves. The part with the Ewok hitting the Trooper with a a hammer was my favorite part. The visuals were very clean-cut, and I loved everything about the trees. This is also my favorite series in LittleBigPlanet. I can't wait for the next installment. :star::star::star::star::star: and a well deserved heart. | 2010-04-13 18:02:00 Author: X-FROGBOY-X Posts: 1800 |

My thinking was that without the difficulty being fairly high on those bits it's the kind of obstacle we've done plenty of times before and could practically jump your way through with eyes shut otherwise. With the two swinging logs I actually took a leaf out of your book Poms, and placed a blood sticker on the two trunks as a clue that many Ewoks have tried and failed those jumps, lol. Thanks for the great comments guys. : ) Fun, Fun, FUN!! Loved it. Silly, challenging, all around awesome. Yep - favorite series of mine too. Thanks for the great comments guys. : ) Yeah, I noticed the two stickers, but it was too late maybe a wider camera angle, or some noise before the swing... I also thought "mmh.. blood stickers here... this is correct" | 2010-04-13 20:11:00 Author: poms Posts: 383 |

yeah the logs of death that's being discussed lol i rode the left one and it launched me upwards on top of a GIANT LAMP | 2010-04-14 01:42:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Amazing level. Very fun and quick gameplay. Only problem I had with it, is that I fell off the map twice. Once by that area where you fight the 3rd AT-ST (the one where the stormtrooper above you is dropping bombs down below), after I killed the AT-ST and when the log fell down, I went on the log and when I got off I didn't make it to the ledge and fell right through this hole that brought me to this bushy area with dark matter. I kept following the map until I eventually fell and landed near the beginning of the level. :O The second time was near the end (when the ewok gets shot), and hans solo and lea are next to that broken tree. I climbed on the ewok, then jumped on hans solo and I jumped over the tree and kept walking to I eventually fell down this wonderland of dark matter and bush decorations. lol, but it was an amazing level. 5 Stars, and a heart. | 2010-04-14 04:47:00 Author: AbstractSam Posts: 332 |
@ Basketsnake & CrazeAlec - Thanks for playing guys! Only problem I had with it, is that I fell off the map twice....Here and here Thats really helpful Sam, there's been a few uploaded pics where players have fallen through the cracks but it's nearly always onto a tree and the level is awash with them so its virtually impossible for me to tell whereabouts they are on the map. I iust went in and hopefully sorted the two that you found. Thanks for your comments! | 2010-04-14 10:06:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |

Good job on this one jules. I really didn't expect going on a rampage inside R2-D2, hilarious. Only one more level to go. | 2010-04-15 13:35:00 Author: Arctos13 Posts: 258 |
Quite good again but I think the fight against that thing as soon as you enter the level is very unfair. There are no safe spots once you get within range as it fires plasma very quickly on all 3 layers. I beat it eventually but I was on my last life and just found that annoying. I would have been really peed off to lose every life before I'd even had the chance to move anywhere. If you're going to make something that difficult it would be a good idea to put an infinite life checkpoint between it and the entrance. Also the position of the paintinator is very bad because by the time you've dodged the plasma, managed to move between layers and then pick up the paintinator you haven't got time to shoot before the plasma kills you again. The design was good again although I think you and Morgana have put the death knell on using the doll's head for trees now. I was thinking of using that for my new level where I have a foresty area at the start but I decided against it because you've done it to death now. I'm afraid it doesn't work anymore, we need to find something else because all I think when seeing it in your or M's levels is "Oh , the doll's head again" whereas I should be thinking " Ooh nice forest". | 2010-04-15 14:10:00 Author: mistervista Posts: 2210 |

Yeh, its not particularly easy but y'know, you're meant to be Jedi at this point in the series ; ) . I've just tweaked the plasma emitter to make it a bit easier. I don't get the thing about the gun position tho, its out of range of the plasmas and in a safe spot, you don't have to dodge any plasma to get it. Just nip in, fire off a few shots and down comes the big boy, job done. The design was good again although I think you and Morgana have put the death knell on using the doll's head for trees now. I used it again for continuity, this one starts exactly where the last one ends. But i shan't use it again,I promise. And I'll smack Morgana's bottom if she does. Hey J! As usual, I've been doing so much wandering around I completely forgot to leave my thoughts on this one. FUN! Ok... that was it. bye! No... seriously. This was such a cute addition to the series. You really captured the slapstick moments in the movie quite well. You also made it quite a nice challenge as well as just being totally fun, goofy and funny. Also quite a bit of interesting platforming going on with the rocking logs and jumping paintenator challenge against the AT-ST. Still wish I could have smoooshed that pesky Stormtrooper above dropping bombs, but oh well. I think the first time I played it I kinda thought the AT ST was shooting a bit fast, but I finally realized it was a timing thing and quickly got past it Wonderful wonderful level and totally proud to have helped you test another amazing level. 5 stars and a warm and fuzzy heart for your efforts! | 2010-04-15 21:38:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
well, once again you give the community an impressive level in which i can tell i enjoyed the very unique 'star wars' visuals, a simple but still good game-play. This was a nice job from your part, it was very fun i rated it 5* and tagged brilliant. Keep up! | 2010-04-15 23:53:00 Author: ferrrch Posts: 429 |

I think the first time I played it I kinda thought the AT ST was shooting a bit fast, but I finally realized it was a timing thing and quickly got past it If there was any room for it, i would so have squished that trooper, but its a bit dense with other mechanics in that section, so no squish. ; ) Yep, maybe some people aren't realising the plasmas are moving back and forth in a pattern. I've been tweaking the level throughout the week based on feedback, that was one of them. Thanks J! well, once again you give the community an impressive level in which i can tell i enjoyed the very unique 'star wars' visuals, a simple but still good game-play. I really enjoyed skirting all your deadly traps and hanging out w/R2 on top of those swinging logs... Only a sith warrior would rush headlong through an obstacle inviting almost certain death! You once said to me that you were almost envious of how cruelly some of my obstacles play... I can see why now, there is a simply diabolical mind at work in this series... I vote Palpatine! So good I went back and played the first 3. They've always been good, but this series just build and builds on the back of the previous... Not my favorite of yours, but that's really not saying much as at the time of ROTJ release I was 18 and hated the 'teddy bears' and still loved it in the same breath. Think i prefer more character/plot derived humour... but what do I know? I know these levels feel like coming home... I know that much! My favorite moment was actually confronting VADER... go figure! Already wanting whats next! Thank You! Can I request a 'Shadows of the Empire' level? | 2010-04-19 23:04:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
I would put a "crash" sound when the tree (that says "i'm not gonna like this") reaches it's final point. The ewok powered cannon was really cool, especially how they strain the rope at the final point. Yeah, had a lot of fun. I loved the many techniques to kill a stormtrooper. The trees from both sides into the walker looked great. | 2010-04-19 23:35:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
I finally played this this morning, it was long overdue, but my xbox has been keeping me busy. Its awesome as usual, hilarious and infinitely playable. I was taken completely by suprise at the end, but thought it was bloody marvellous, I laughed at insanity of the idea, and the implementation was spot on. I think that could be my favourite way to end a LBP level so far. The speeder bikes were great, especially the one chasing the rebel round and round, and the AT-ST's looked brilliant. You got some really innovative and excellent platforming ideas in this Jules, it was a joy to play. I had a little trouble with the AT-ST at the start to, took me a restart before I got the hang off it but its really not a big issue for me to take 2 seconds to hit retry, walk for another 2 secs to fight it again. ***** and hearted. I've had a few weeks off LBP, and the levels I've played this morning have shown me what I've been missing | 2010-04-20 11:43:00 Author: GruntosUK Posts: 1754 |

With Endor, apart from the Vader stuff right at the end, there just isn't much dialogue to take from the films and skew. The next one should be a different story. : ) I would put a "crash" sound when the tree (that says "i'm not gonna like this") reaches it's final point. Hey Grant, glad you popped by! Heh, yeh, i veered slightly off canon for that bit. ; ) The AT - I've been tweaking that bit a few times (but too subtly by the looks). I've tweaked again. I got a level comment saying 'screw you you stupefied idiot, go jump off a building you freak'. He may have had some trouble on that bit too. : ) | 2010-04-21 10:43:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
Best of the series without a doubt! =D Wonderful gameplay and beautiful visuals. You really revamped the gameplay, the puzzles were fresh and interesting! You have really captured the feel of Star Wars and added your own hilarious twist, great work! http://i.neoseeker.com/mgv/272671-Blackfalcon/671/5/animal0064hb2_display.gif | 2010-04-25 12:23:00 Author: Blackfalcon Posts: 409 |

In your star wars levels, there's this one piece you use that sounds absurdly like actual Star Wars music, but I assume it isn't.. I just don't recognize it from anything else! Anyway, good job as usual, fun stuff. R2D2 is my hero | 2010-04-25 21:46:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
@ BlackFalcon & Joey, thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. In your star wars levels, there's this one piece you use that sounds absurdly like actual Star Wars music, but I assume it isn't.. I just don't recognize it from anything else! I think the bit you mean is towards the end of 'Battle on Ice", yeh, it's very reminiscent of Vaders theme, i got lucky with that one! I gave 'Cloud City' a subtle lick of layer glitch paint over the weekend, if anyones interested. No mammoth 'Special Edition-esque' type overhaul, but it looks a lot more like how I wanted it to but couldn't - i.e. cloudy. ; ) | 2010-04-26 14:03:00 Author: julesyjules Posts: 1156 |
