LBP Level Publishing Idea

Archive: 8 posts

(sorry If this idea has already been done. ) When 2 or more people create a level together only the publisher gets the credit (unless you say who helped you) . What If there was a clan publishing indestry which published a level for you that has 2 or more creators. E.G: If you were making a level with a friend but you didn't trust them to give you credit you can let an LBP publishing clan publish your level for you and definatly give you credit and all the describtion needed in the level. It would need lots of members so that you atleast know someone who knows someone who is part of the clan ready to publish a level for you. Something like that anyway. Here are a list of things that will need cleared If there was such a thing.
-If you join the clan you would need the name LBP-Publisher so that it doeesn't look like you created the level.
-You would have to let them work on a level in your empty level space so you can also help them If needs be.
-If the name LBP-Publisher is already taken then you can call yourself LBP-Publisher01

(this is only an idea prefibraly for MM to have. )
(there are too many floors to make this real)

Would this be a good idea for MM to think about having?
Thanks.
P.S sorry about spelling I am in a hurry lol.

I would say that would only take more credit from the actual creators as people would not really revognise the once who created it, but the clan itself.

It is better to leave it as it is, giving the "main" creator the publishing rights and the "helping" creator the proper aknowledgement.

Remember that not many people read aknowledgements or the description at all, so a lot will think that "LBP-Publisher" is actually a single person creating the levels.

So yeah, at least in my opinion, that'd make it worse "credit-wise" than how it is now.

Thats right, but do you think that these people care about who the creator of the level is?
I mean, people who really like a level will consider the description or aknowledgement.

Yeah, this may work.
We can make the clan, get the names by making another account on our individual PS3's (is that legal? It won't be gamesharing, I'm just asking) and have people publish the level locked, give the keys to a member, and there goes the credit. Don't consider me a law breaker by that, though.

I dunno about this - this kinda takes credit away from everyone who HAS made it, and gives credit to other people in the "clan" who may not have. I, personally, am also not too keen on clans as a whole - this kinda takes the fun out of creating a bit because all of a sudden there are all these rules and regulations that a creator has to keep mind of when creating, or things that they have to do.2010-04-12 01:20:00

What about, you publish level made with someone else, 2 names come up on the creator thingy if the publisher chooses. Say it was published by 2 people, 1 called Bob and 1 called Fred. When you used the "find more" option, instead of having the button that says "more by this author" it would have 2 buttons, 1 saying "find more by Fred" and 1 saying "find more by Bob".2010-04-12 12:26:00

Yo... heres a simple idea that doesn't require a clan...
just an added feature where it says in the level stats "contributions by:"
