The rules of the mountain...

Archive: 4 posts

Being a snowboarder myself, I have a few pet hates:
1. Skiers
2. Other snowboarders
3. The prices of food and drink
why??
1. Skiers leave snowtracks everywhere, and try to kill me.
2. They jump out in front of me and make me fall over, they also try to kill me.
3. 4 euros for a hot chocolate, 4 euros!

So i developed a few rules:
1. The people BELOW you are your responibility not to crash into
2. stay at least half a metre away from everyone else
3. buy all your food from a supermarket on ground level
4. don't jump out of the trees infront of anyone
5. Don't ride over kids

Does anyone have a few more rules or have a second point of veiw?

Don't ride over kids.
When I was about 7 or 8 I went on a sking trip and I went up a mountain with a ski school group. This other kid an myself both lost or footing a on a really slipery pat and fell over which is just when 2 snowboarders decide to come ploughing through or group and not taking any consideration, didn't look and ran atraight over the other kid and myself. Strangly enough though it didn't hurt at all, they just glide over.

EDIT: I forgot to add that I really want to go snowboarding someday.

So... What is the point of this thread? Why do you need us to give you rules for you to give to other people, which they will then ignore anyways?2010-04-11 13:07:00
