Alien versus Sackling 3 versus 1 (WIP)

So I had this idea in the proverbial oven for a while. A versus level where you fight one player versus three others. I really like versus levels, and this idea really could be fun. I have been in the process of developing a theme, the actual PvP (mentality, strategies, tactics for both teams), and some associated logic.

In the level, you are an elite marine task force within Lab 5.1. One of your four crew members has been suspected to be an alien spy, disguised as a sackling marine. Once the imposter is found, it is your task force's job to decimate the alien spy, thus saving LittleBigEarth.

As the lone alien, you have come from LittleBigMars to decimate the earth, for reasons know only to your high commander. Filled with ideas of the stupidity of sacklings, you feel superior with intelligent, and infallible in your plan. Your technology is smarter than LittleBigEarth's inferior weaponry, but you must understand the sacklings, for reasons unspoken.

Both the alien, and the three Sackling Planetary Defense marines get are very capable of destroy the opposite team. The SPD marines focus on group centered tactics (like air strikes, bazooka-armed jeeps, and radioactive artillery). The alien uses a ship hovering over the marines, and uses weapons more centered around clever usage, and more consideration to time and place (like charge lasers, ground-crawling drones, and thermal-sensor spores).

Both sides will receive a total of 6 weapons and tools to use, unlocked whilst the match time progresses, and both the alien ship, and SPD marines will have one ultimate, showstopping, but very costly, weapon available after 6 minutes of match time.

As of right now, I am working on the weapons for both teams. There is a working, and quite deadly jeep with a bazooka in the back, a testing model for the second to be attained alien weapon, a ground scattering laser beam that burns sacklings, and I have started working on odds and ends of other weapons.

As for the level design, the players fight in desert-like, open area. With the win/lose conditions, all players playing as marines will die to one hit from any alien weapon, but the alien is not going to have an easy time killing these very mobile targets. The alien's ship is fitted with a special hit sensor, which requires that the alien ship is hit a total of 10 times before the SPD marines can claim a victory, but the high hit points for the ship is a compensation for its larger size, and slower speed.

After victory, the winner/winners are rewarded a stockpile of points that has been building up during the match, the longer the winning side has survived, the larger the stockpile, and thus, the more the points for the winners. The system helps sort out the fact the scoreboard determines the top player by their score. By giving the higher score to the winners of the match, the scoreboard puts them in first place, thus reflecting who did actually win.

I hope to have this ready to go within the next 4 months, and I hope this will be liked.
