LBP Content Catalogue - LittleBigResource

Archive: 47 posts

Hey,

Just wanted to let all of you know that I've finally, after many months, completed a complete catalogue of all the create content (materials, decorations, objects, and stickers) in LittleBigPlanet.

The content catalogue was created to help people plan out their levels and help them deal with the HUGE (2528 total) amount of content in LBP. It allows you to search, categorize, visualize, and template everything that you need to use to create a level. The catalogue includes all of the DLC content as well, including the just released Incredibles Level Kit.

You can find the catalogue here: http://www.littlebigresource.com

If you have any suggestions or feedback on the catalogue or the site in general, feel free to send me a PM me here or email @ infinitybound@littlebigresource.com.

I hope you find this feature useful!

UPDATE: I have just released the skin and costume catalogues on LittleBigResource. You can check them out here:

Other than the 6 pictures you dont have i got to give you some respect.

Its a nicely designed site and i understand how long it would take to get all them photos and collect the information.

Thanks robotiod,

Yeah, the only thing left for me to do is the 3x-4x player rewards as I've mostly worked on the site rather then joining a community and playing with others.

Now that it's done I can use the rest of my free time to actually play online, create some levels, and add more features to the site

So you're the one I talked to a while back!

I've been using the site for a while now. Congratulations on getting everything done! Must have been tough! 0_o

Oh yeah I saw your site some times ago (it's the sackast team that mentions it in one of their podcast I think)

Really great work! Thanks for doing this!

Cool! Thanks.

It's so hard to see what all the story items are in my popit (and I'm too lazy to place them all), so that was kinda cool to look through them all.

Thanks all,

Did take a huge amount of time, though I think the results were worth it.

I must give mad props to the Media Molecule crew though. I can't imaging how much time they've put into creating the actual assets and including them with the game. Just amazing!

@mnimmo: HAHAHA, thanks for the catch!

Amazing site, I have a few suggestions. 1. Maybe see if you can have a mention about accessories, materials and stickers in the game that weren't given out.
2. In future, maybe include all costume pieces.... Yeah, I know, a lot of work, but then you should have covered everything...
3. You should get a prize crown for all your effort!

Looks amazing, great work.

Now, I haven't checked in-game but are you sure the "Long flat bricks" material is grabbable? I just happened to notice that there...

Probably not, only Sponges and Polystyrene are grab-able. Well unless you glitched the material that is.

Also, Infinity, is your R key on your keyboard broke?
http://www.littlebigresource.com/images/materials/egyptian_hieoglyphs.jpg
I have another typo for you that's missing an R (Egyptian Hieroglyphs).

Yes.

Even though it's listed (incorrectly) in the Cardboard material section (I'm talking in game here too, so it's not Infinity's mistake), it's got all of the properties of a Metal material.

Thanks all for the comments. Really glad people are enjoying the site!

@mnimmo1986 & @napero7: Thanks for the catch! They've been fixed. I should pop off my R key to check

Also, thanks for the suggestions. I'm already experimenting with some other stuff that should help everyone, not just creators. I won’t say what just yet, but it should be just as helpful

@UncreativeUserName: Not at all. The main reason why I started this project was that I found that it was impossible for me to keep track of all the content in LBP. I've also learned a lot about social media and some more web programming skills.

@Oddmania Do you mean the costume kit? That would be under the theme: ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Costume Kit which also includes the stickers.

Oops, yeah you're right, I just realized we could make the scroll longer by using... the scroll wheel  I'll check this each time I want to buy a new pack ^^

Just... wow!

Except one - it doesn't have the standard metal impact noise.

Hey, thanks again for this. I've linked to it once already to explain a material used.

Just one question, and I apologize if it has been addressed already, but what will be the function of the Level Directory? Is it based on user submissions, or are you compiling these levels on your own?

If you make your own account you can submit your own levels.

Yeah, Doopz got it.

The reason why I made it so you have to register is to have all the users levels under one account, to stop people from getting credit for others work, and to keep the rating system in check.

The level directory isn't where I want it yet as its main goal is to showcase a level and allow people to find quality levels over all those survival/H4H.

You can still upload up to 5 images which will display in a flash gallery and a YouTube trailer of your level.

Once the directory gets a bunch more quality levels I plan on fully implementing a trophy system which will be awarded to quality levels and creators. These trophies will in turn be added to your level's listing, allowing users to know that your level/you have won a trophy for doing outstanding work.

I hope this system will promote good level design, while still allowing those just starting to get level views as well.

Sorry for the long post I'll go back to work now!

Wow. Just Wow.
Really nicely designed website and extremely useful to creators old and new!

But I think a Story Mode level list saying which objects etc are found in each level would be very useful to those (inclusing myself) who have not got 100% yet but want a certain material. It would save time having to go through tons of different threads trying to remember the name of the material. But with pictures like you have, it would be much more simple and quick, without tediums.

The hosting that I'm on isn't that reliable. If you can't get on, just refresh the page a few times and it should come back.

I'm planning on switching hosts sometime in the distant future.
