Whats more thermo efficient?
Archive: 6 posts
5 point bubbles attached via rods, or a invisible thin layer of dark matter with the point bubbles glued to it? I'm thinking its the latter.. Thanks. | 2010-04-10 05:15:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Yes, the latter does seem more efficient, but it will confuse the player. After all, they won't see any of it coming. | 2010-04-10 05:18:00 Author: JspOt Posts: 3607 |
Not really sure, it should be about the same, any difference would be microscopic if you ask me... | 2010-04-10 05:19:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Using a rod would add physics data and connector data to the thermo. Dark matter would only take up the shapes thermo. I would recommend dark matter. | 2010-04-10 06:10:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Gotta squeeze every drop out of that thermo! Thanks all. | 2010-04-10 06:14:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Yep, remember that connectors add to your collected objects thermo and also, objects connected via rods still count as moving objects, so that thermo will be increased as well. Personally I'd say that the difference is quite significant, although as with all things it comes down to the nature of the level. IF you are struggling with complex shapes and objects and shapes thermos, and have collected objects thermo to spare, then the rods method may well be preferable, but in general sense the dark matter is more likely to be better | 2010-04-11 13:56:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
