Emitter Usage Question

Alright dudes... long time lurker, first time poster.

Got an emitter usage query, did try searching but could not find anything too relevant.

I'm trying to create an end to my level which involves driving a motorbike along a platform.... and I would like the motorbike and the platform to dissapear once the bike reaches a certain point and to then emit the scoreboard as the player falls from the bike/platform. - Almost like the effect achieved at the end of the Great Magicians Palace, where the great magician dissolves the current scene to reveal one behind it.

I can't make the stuff from dissolve material though. It needs to be made out of 'real' material for weight reasons.
I played a tutorial level once (that I can't find again) that had a handy tip on how to use emitters to make logic puzzle rooms that reset if a switched was pushed (the entire room reset not just the puzzle).

What I'm asking is - is it possible to have an object emitted by an emitter evaporate - say once a certain key switch is moved into/out of the range of a magnetic key?

I've tried myself - but can only get the object to emit - not dissapear... It can't be on a timed emition as it needs to be there before the player gets to it.

Is this kind of thing possible with an emitter? - (creature brain trick won't work either as the level is designed around points - so don't want to give out unrequired points).

The level you played was probably my demitters tech demo, or someone else's level with the same technique. That, and the accompanying logic pieces should get you started with this.

If you just use rtms newest and quite frankly most boring creation of the demmiter technology, I'm talking the one shot one, then you will be fine.2010-04-09 14:06:00

Use an emitter to emit your motorbike (set to emit 1 at a time and one shot trigger) and then trigger the emitter when the motorbike reaches the endpoint. This'll re-emit a motorbike at the start, causing the one the player is on to disappear.
Like rtm says, the best way is to play his demitter levels and then just tinker with them. Some great things are possible with emit/demit.

That was it exactly... Got it in one!.
No wonder I couldn;t find it again... I was searching for "Emitter" not "Demitter".

Such an elegantly simple solution staring me in the face the whole time.
