HI th3_fly1ng_vEE
I played your level and I must say that I think you did a good job with the enviroment, I liked some of your objects, the obstacles are simple but nice, I only had one problem when you have to download the banana and give it to the monkey. The elevator remains above and I had to restart the level.

Hey Flying Vee, do you like Gibsons?

I never finished this level. I played it last night and I was impressed with the visuals. The part trying to get the key up to the monkey on the launcher was hard and frustrating. It took me maybe ten minutes, but I was determined to get it up there. Finally success!! I don't know you could make that easier, I am terrible at explaining the mechanics of this game, and I am a trial and error kind of creator, but I am sure there is an easier way to get that key up there. I liked the launcher idea, but I'm afraid it will frustrate people and then they come with a bad rating, and no one wants that. I then got to the part that gave Memorex a problem, and I got stuck on the bottom and the lift was on top, so I had to restart. After five minutes with the key and launcher I gave up. I did not rate this because I didn't finish it.

If you republish let me know and I will defiantly play this again because I was really digging it in some places.

this level was fun with a lot of good gameplay mechanics, but there were some hard frustrating parts. getting the key was very difficult i also had the same problem with the elevator as memorex. the vine swinging and hopping over the lava was fun looked great gave :star::star::star: for a fun level but with some frustrating parts.2010-04-08 21:37:00

Hey flying V-

Hmm, as in The Mighty Ducks? No matter.

This level was a lot of fun! The simple title had me second guessing what the level was about, but I was very pleasantly surprised. You did a great job constructing a fun, entertaining jungle-y setting with some great character designs. The monkey is obviously good but my favorites are those little crabs - really cool! The challenges you've put together are very creative as well, and everything just looks great all around. Nice choice of music as well.

However, there are a few problems with this level as others have mentioned. That first key puzzle is a good idea but really hard to complete. The crab underneath the ledge is also pretty tricky to kill - it's really wedged in there and it's hard to reach the brain. The elevator is another bad spot, as it's very easy to break the level by falling back down with the ripe banana while the elevator is up. There are many ways to fix the issue, but I'd just glue a checkpoint to the elevator and be done with it. The rest of your puzzles are great and pretty well thought-out, but those two are the problem children. I think you'd get a lot better overall ratings if you could fix those.

Despite the issues, this is a solid level. I gave it 4.5/5 stars, which rounds up to 5 stars in game - plus a heart. Nice work!

Ok this level definately has potential!!
all that needs changed are quickfix bugs.

Lets start w/ switches. Its important for the player to know what each switch does. So add cutscenes to ur switches. This can be done through invisible magic mouths or, in the case of the rotating segments of bridge, a camera zone.

Now obviously everything has to work in order for the player to play through w/ minimal frustration. Atm there are several frustrations that need to be fixed. The first is the crab.

Simply move him forward and voila! not so seemingly impossible to kill.
straight after that is the key. maybe, instead of the launcher, u could chuck a jet pack beside the key. I know the launcher is awesome! i love it too. but sacrifices must be made stimes.

Moving along we get to the elevator. now im thinking that instead of using the 3 way switch, use a sensor switch set to direction. This way u can get up and down(jumping) easy. Now i had a problem here that hasnt been brought up yet. The monkey.

He's dynamic! u need to change him to static! he tipped over and got caught on the elevator D:

Next is basically sthing that happens to me alot. pistons shifting. some objects have tilted and in some cases gone inside each other. Luckily your objects are simple and so u can easily re-draw and re-attach pistons. i add two to my objects for extra stability. Along the lines of pistons, make them invisible!! ur monkey has a piston(or mebe its a rod?) attached to him. make it invisible!!

Now on a more positive note, your puzzles were great. simple, yet effective. You just need more camera zones so the player sees whats going on.

I loved your visuals! although the back and front layers seemed empty at times. mebe u could add in sand mounds/rocks and trees in the back and trees in the front. just a few though. dont overdo it. I loved ur corner editing though and ur selection of materials was well chosen!

overall i gave u 4 stars and a heart and im willing to max out ur stars if u fix it up
