The tips and tricks of story
Archive: 9 posts
Well, i'm on a posting spree, so i thought i'd get a thread started sbout some tricks you can use in story. I'm only slightly knowledgeable in these handy little secrets so post yours and add to the help. ====================== Okay first off, Boom town!. I'm sure that more than a few of you hated this level because of the X2 with the mine carts and bombs. But theres a trick! ===================== Skip the carts and go further ahead, now go ahead and blow up the first set of bombs, but DO NOT press the button under the pi?ata. instead, jump down. In front of the glass should be a part of the blown up house, and 4 or 5 bombs to the left, pull the bombs over in front of the building containing the bubbles. line them up so that they are in close proximity, then go press the button, and BOOM! the bubbles should spill out the bottom. ===================== NOTE: some of the bubbles fall in the gas pit, but you can still obtain them by jumping into the gas. ===================== Alternate option: by pulling 1 of the carts over the spike pit and tipping it, then using it as a bridge. i also found that the 2 player part could be done with 1 player by pulling 1 of the carts over the spike pit ant tipping it, then using it as a bridge, i think thats how you do it 1 player | 2010-04-07 15:42:00 Author: Soupersadist Posts: 82 |

you can skip the climbing the hill part in boom town if you: blow up the first tower, run and jump LEFT from the button, jump up, grab the cow so it falls, and use it as a ledge to get up, or just climb the side, but its trickier because of auto layer switching. doesnt really serve a purpose besides being funny.. | 2010-04-08 13:35:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
i have a tip that helps with anything: If you find yourself haveing trouble in anything, take your time and relax. If you rush or your all stressed out, you wont do to well. At that point it would be best to leave the level and do something elce. When trying to ace the bunker, i was rushing and very stressed. I went outside and did something and when i got back, i did it easy! | 2010-04-10 01:55:00 Author: Unknown User |
I did the bunker after creating my own hellish and far more vicious spinning wheel involving pretty much everything you'd get in some of the hardest ninja training levels online and many other obstacles. After I trained myself to pass this in one go without a single life being lost, I was able to complete and Ace the bunker. It was worth it. | 2010-04-10 20:40:00 Author: Dunadrian Posts: 57 |
Here's a general strategy: when in doubt, hold R1. Occasionally in the midst of dangerous obstacles there are surfaces or pieces (sometimes obscured) you can grab onto and even if there isn't, there really isn't a drawback to holding R1 as it won't slow you down or encumber your movement and when there is something to grab onto there is rarely a situation where doing so puts you in more danger then not doing so. | 2010-04-11 02:29:00 Author: Dapiek Absaroka Posts: 512 |
In the the first 'The Weddings' level, you can do the 2x part on your onw, I did. It just takes a lot of patience. You can also do the same in the constructions site level, just move the platform over as far as you can, jump to it, move the block onto it, jump back, bring the platform back andf hey presto! | 2010-04-11 14:18:00 Author: The Last Stop Posts: 240 |
For lots of two player bits, I just used a second controller, because 2 players can sometimes mess things up - and be iritating. I found on The Bunker, with the big wheels, you can often stand on the sides and go OVER, rather than having to manouvre around the electric things - does that make sense? PS: Please ignore my bad spelling - or maybe the spell checker is American? | 2010-04-12 01:57:00 Author: standby250 Posts: 1113 |
